I am very satisfied with this remote. It works flawlessly and the texture of the remote is nice. An added benefit, it lights up when its moved so you can see all of the buttons.

We cut the cable & are using XBox apps to watch TV; however, there's a drawback. Our cable remote that we were so used to no longer worked & doing everything from an XBox controller was cumbersome. This remote is perfect for our new TV viewing, channel changing experiece.

I bought this remote to go with the X-Box One as an entertainment system for my living room. The remote works well and fits in with the other remotes. it isn't obvious what buttons correlate to the controller buttons. It also has some issues controlling other devices, even with the IR extender cables. Other than that a good remote.

Great built quality, awesome soft rubber feel and light up buttons when it's picked up. This remote is a must have if you use your Xbox for lots of movie watching. Saves you lots of wasted time and energy from having to constantly turn on and off the regular controller to control playback

This is perfect when all you want to do is watch TV on the Xbox. Especially Netflix, where after a few episodes you're asked if you want to continue watching. You always have to turn on the remote, just to hit continue and then extra button clicks to turn it off. Otherwise you go through batteries in a couple of weeks. Its a time saver and make it easy to use the Xbox as a TV. My only complaint is the directional arrows are at the top of the remote and it feels a little off balance trying to click up there. I think it's ideal in the middle. The first time I used it, I dropped the remote, but onto the couch so no biggie.

I really like this remote. Even though it's small, it does a lot. Really comes in handy for watching videos, tv, or selecting music, especially useful for streaming movies and music with the Xbox One Media Player. The context menu button and One Guide button work great to get to what you need fast. I still miss some of the functions of the Xbox 360 remote that didn't seem to make it over, like having the 4 color buttons, B, X, Y, and A for functions in games and other apps just like the controllers. For some reason they chose to leave those off? :( Definitely worth buying if you have an Xbox One.

I needed a basic media remote for my XBox, which I use as a Blu-Ray player. Works well. Years ago I had a PS2 and had the media remote for that, so I thought it was natural for the Xbox to have one as well. Using a game controller to play Blu-rays felt kind of clunky, and this wasn't that expensive.

Great design for the XBOX One's new remote. Sleek design makes it comfortable to hold and looks nice on the coffee table. Initially the directional pad seems too sensitive. I would often skip over where I was trying to get to by accident but once you get the hang of it is easy. The remote icons are pretty self explanatory making it easily understood by even the most technically challenged individuals. Buttons are easy to see in the dark when you pick up or move the remote they LIGHT UP! Picked up this item specifically for my parents when they visit who have a difficult time using the voice command and controllers. I would recommend this to anyone who owns the One.

I wish this remote had the ABXY buttons that the Xbox360 remote had. It's cool that the buttons lighten when you pick up the remote. Hopefully MS releases updated version with the buttons I mentioned.

It's an ok remote control. You have to point it directly to the xbox one for it to work. It's not like other remotes where you can point it to the ceiling and it still works. The range is not that great either. Buy it if you don't like using your controller.....

Cut the cord with traditional cable and centered my tv media around my xbox one so I decided to buy this nifty little device. The packaging it came in was great, and the remote itself is light but very sturdy. Right out of the box, put the batteries in, pointed it at the xbox, pressed the on button and presto, no need to sync the remote with the xbox it just simply works! The only issue i can see with this remote. Even though its not really a problem for me is the IR sensor on it. could have used the internet connection but beyond that a handy little device if you use your xbox for more than just gaming

Does its job perfectly. Love the light up feature, so handy when watching TV with the lights low. Just touch it or pick it up and the buttons light up. I thought it might be too small and get lost easily but actually tend to put it in more obvious places because it's unobtrusive.

This allows me to control all media aspects of Xbox one. I love to use it for the YouTube app and also blue ray playback. Batteries last long and allows me to conserve my gaming remote battery.

I love this little remote! It was a great price, but it works great as well. I watch Netflix and Youtube a lot through my Xbox and I hated always having to get a controller to use it because a lot of the time, the controller would already be dead or would die while I was watching tv. Having remote solves that problem. It glows when picked up/motion activated so you can find it in the dark. It's smooth feeling and simplistic. One thing to note is the volume and channel buttons don't work without a kinect, so you will still need to use your tv remote for volume.

This remote greatly improved the xbox one experience when it comes to watching movies, streaming, and live tv. Its really nice that it does not auto power off like the xbox controllers. And you don't accidentally hit the trigger and bumper buttons just putting the controller down. My biggest complaint, however, is that it uses IR instead of the same wireless technology as the controllers. I assume this is a trade off for the always on functionality, but means you need line of site. Our xbox is in a closed cabinet so we have to keep the doors open when using it. This defeats the purpose of closing it behind a door and away from the prying hands of children.

I wish this remote came with the Xbox. My wife and I use it just about every day for Netflix or other videos. Also works well for music and navigating the Xbox.

It's perfect for watching video streaming apps on the Xbox, as advertised. I think it's saved a lot of battery life on my controllers, because I don't have to turn them on just to pause video or rewind or something. My only issue is that it does't have corresponding A, B, X, and Y buttons like the Xbox controller. Not a huge issue, because you can use the other buttons for most functions, but if, for instance, an app says "press Y for search," there's no Y button, so it takes a little longer to get where you're going sometimes. Also there's no DVD/BluRay menu button. Still, overall it's a handy device that I use all the time.

A great luxury to have while using streaming apps or watching movies , easy to use. Wakes up when moved. Much more pleasant to use than a Xbox controller
