It would be nicer if this remote were Bluetooth, but for the simplicity of it as well as the backlighting, it's pretty functional.

I got this because I didn't want to use my controller every time to watch a movie or do something besides gaming. This remote is pretty cool. It lights up when you pick it up and works very well with Xbox One. It turns on immediately when you hit the power button and always connects, unlike my controller. I recommend it.

This remote has made life simpler. It is super helpful when you just want to stream something or watch a movie

Not priced to high but could be better. Like the fact that it will turn on you TV as well. Love the material used to make up remote.

This so much better than using a controller. The buttons can be easily miss pressed if not careful. Still beats a controller.

I bought this for it's exact purpose, flipping between apps/channels, and not having to bring the Xbox One controller to bed. It's a great design, smooth surface all around the remote with backlit buttons. Only thing that irks me is the size which is a little on the small size compared to the original Xbox media remote and the Xbox 360 media remote. Overall it was a satisfying buy.

I picked up the xbox media remote because the rest of my family are not gamers were having difficulty controlling tvs shows and netflix with the xbox gaming controller. It is the perfect solution for individuals unfamiliar or hesitant to learn how to use the gaming controller. Now I don't get bothered and confronted by irritated family members who just wanted to watch some Netflix.

I don't play video games and don't like the game controller to use to watch movies ! Great remote , small and is easy to use !!

Way better than blasting through battery life on the controller when watching movies, Netflix, ESPN, etc. Highly recommend.

Remote lights up when it senses you grabbing it. Would be nice to have "last channel recall" option.

When I say lazy I mean annoyed with having to turn on and off your controller to pause, fast forward, and or rewind when watching any media from your console. Every ownernie knows they have to go through the menu while watching to shut down your controller incase you bump your controller. This solves that problem.

After buying an XBox ONE, I learned that it is not just for video games! When playing a movie, it was slightly annoying to turn on the controller and use it to guide me through the motions. Having the remote makes using the XBox like using the DVD player. If you watch TV apps, it's a bonus too. I found it useful.

Perfect for streaming apps and Blu-Ray/DVDs. I originally bought this for my girlfriend's mother because she wanted to watch Netflix but didn't want to connect her laptop to the tv or use the Xbox controller. I ended up buying my own after seeing the ease of use and applicability to the Xbox one interface.

The range of this remote is lower than the remote you might use for your TV. Otherwise a good product.

Watching Movies on the Xbox becomes intuitive with the Xbox One media remote. No longer need to use the clunky interface with the standard Xbox controller. The only thing that keep me from giving it 5 stars is that the bottom is overly rounded which means I have to pick it up to use it when some times I just want to lay it down and use it.

What is there to really say? It's a remote and works like any other remote out there. I wish it had the same tech in it as the controllers so it didn't have to have direct line of sight to the Xbox to work. My box is in a closet so I had to reposition a lot of stuff in the closet to get the remote to work and it still doesn't work 100% of the time.
