A lot easier, more practical and practical. My wife also likes having a remote control vs gaming control to turn on/off system.

This is especially helpful when you are fumbling around in the dark you can just bump the coffee table and it lights up. Great for doing basic controls on the xbox one.

Great Simple Remote

The new Xbox One S and Xbox One X have an infrared sensor so the controller doesn't need to wait to turn on. The keys are also back lit and the controller feels like its build well.

Saves my batteries

I hope they open up other features because it seems like there is an accelerometer in it.

We do a lot of video streaming on netflix, hulu etc and this comes in handy for that. As soon as you pick it up it senses your hand and lights up. No more having to turn on the gaming remote over and over.

It makes it so much easier to maneuver around when you're watching a bluray disc, or tv shows. We paid $25 for the remote, and that's a small investment that is absolutely worth getting.
