This is my go to remote for my whole tv set up now. I love that it shuts it's self off like the Xbox controllers but turns on with just you grabbing it.

Love the new features of this remote versus the old one. The design with all of the media center buttons for DVR and guide are great.

This remote is a nice addition to the Xbox one. It is very user friendly and better than controlling the movie with the controller.

I bought it thinking it would be just like the 360 remote, but it doesn't have as many buttons and when using it to watch tv through the xbox one I keep looking for the numbers to select a specific channel and I can't.

The best part about this product, aside from the fact that it is simple to set up, is the fact that when you raise the remote, the keypad lights up.

While I would not call the remote critical, it is a nice addition. No real set up. Simple to operate. Saves time and it's nice not having to use the controller.

Much easier for navigating the unit when watching media or doing administrative tasks like purchases and downloads. Great Blu-Ray remote.

Overall, great product for controlling apps and navigating the xbox one but it use infrared to interact with xbox meaning you have to have very direct line of sight. With all the new features it would have been nice to be able to sync it to the xbox one for easier use or greater control when further away from the xbox

I purchased a off brand before and I worked horrible. Since cutting the cord I use Sling TV on the Xbox one and it works great.

The Media Remote is a must-have accessory that makes it much easier to accept a gaming console as the hub of your living room.

I bought this remote because my controller batteries were depleting so much when I used them to do anything on my XBOX. I use it just as much for watching shows and movies as I do playing games, so I needed something that I could use instead of my controllers. This controller is perfect for using just to navigate. It lights up when you move it, so also perfect at night when you need to pause/play/rewind/forward whatever it is your watching. HIGHLY recommend if you use your XBOX as your main media console.

Confusing. Symbols on the remote are vague, not intuitive. There should be more words and less nondescript symbols. The unit is set to fade. It is impossible to do anything with it without it going dark. Very annoying.

Admittedly, I did not do much in the way of research before purchasing, but I assumed the remote would operate using the same wireless technology as the Xbox One controllers. In lieu of this, Microsoft chose to use IR technology. As my console was hidden behind a door in my entertainment center, I needed to rework my setup slightly in order for the remote to see the Xbox. Other than this gripe, the remote does everything I need it to do, including not making my wife mad as we struggle to get the Kinect microphone to hear us to turn on/off the console, adjust volume, etc...

I love this remote. No need to have the big game controller in hand when streaming tv and apps. Easy one hand navigation.

This xbox remote is very convenient and easy to use. No need to turn on the controller, just use the remote. Great product.

The media remote looked cool. And it worked well. But, I figured it does the same thing as the game controllers without the ability to play games. So I returned it.

Got this remote as a gift for my Xbox One. Better alternative to using controller for selecting Hulu or Netflix shows. Love it.

When u don't feel like using the controller this is the best option. Plus it doesn't feel cheap at all, very good quality.

Great cause you dont have to use a control that keeps turning off, you do have to make sure it is pointed directly at the xbox unlike the controllers

This remote is great...it controls all of the functions one handed...even my sound bar. Xbox should include it with the original purchase.
