it works for my girlfriend who just wants to watch a movie and not deal with the controller for games.

It works so well with my xbox one. Makes life so much easier then having to always use the regular gamer controller

It feels sturdy. Its rubbery case keeps off fingerprint smudges and gives you a good grip. The remote is pretty tiny and you could easily drop it without the rubbery material. My favorite feature: There is a motion sensor inside the remote. Anytime you touch it or move it the buttons light up. It's a nice touch (so to speak). The only downside: Unlike the Xbox controller, the remote does not work unless it's pointed directly at the Xbox.

This is a great addition to the Xbox One. Lights up when moved and helps you easily navigate through the console.

This remote is very convenient for those that don't want to always use their gamepad to control the XboxOne. It's easy to use and has exceptional build quality. It even has a gyroscope that activates the backlight whenever you move the remote. Very nice aesthetics. The touch and feel is also great. The only problems with the remote is its incompatibility with some apps that you'd think it should function easily with and its missing some gamepad buttons that are necessary when navigating the OS. Still, a great remote to have.
