Got this because it gets annoying having to turn off and on your controller while watching a movie, Youtube or using Pandora in order to conserve battery. Works great and you can even change the volume on the TV from it. Very easy to program the Media Remote in order to be used for your TV.

Can't beat Microsoft backed hardware. I bought the third party media remote for my ps4 and regret it. This controller does all that the regular controller does as far as getting through menus and things. Wait for it to go on sale and it is as cheap as the 3rd party remote and a lot better.

This remote works well! If your XBox One is paired with the TV the remote can also control the volume and channel selection. The keys also illuminate when you pick it up.

My blu-ray player broke so I started using the Xbox for blu-ray and netflix. The remote works like a charm. Just what I needed. The only thing that would make it nicer is if it was bluetooth. I have to make sure I point it right at the console. Not a big deal though, still worth 5 stars.

This thing is really cool, it lights up right when you touch it so seeing the buttons that you want to press is a breeze. The only minor complaint I have about it is that it lacks the XBOX Buttons (X,A,Y,B). This remote makes watching APPS like WWE Network & Netflix much easier to use.

i use this quite a bit when streaming from my xbox one. way easier than using the game controller. lights up when you pick it up. also has a cool soft velvet feel to it.

I really enjoyed using the Microsoft Remote because it stays off until you pick it up and then it wakes up. I also like the size and way it feels in the hand. Only con I would say is the backlight is a little low but not too low as not to see the buttons in the light or dark.

Really like this remote. Bought cause I was using up too many batteries using my Xbox one controller for both videos and games. Really like the grip so it doesn't slide off the bed or couch. Also, I like how it lights up when you pick it and turns off when you set it down. :)

Its hard to give a bad review for a remote control. Its small and fits in your hand pretty good. I like the key illumination, very convenient. I can use my X Box One for everything now (DVD/BluRay/BluRay 3D) and i really like that. Its hard to write a bad review for a remote control....would definitely buy it again.

Remote synced up with my XBOX One right away. Looks and feels great, works amazing with all the menus. Touch or bump it and it lights up to see all features clearly. Great addition to an incredible system.

I watch a lot of Netflix and Hulu, it's very convenient to grab it and use it like a remote, and not have to power on the controller, wait for it to start up, and try to guess which button does what. the remote has every button labeled for easy reference and use!

I love this remote when using the xbox-one for movie night. long battery life and so easy to use. I also love the feel of it, its got a soft rubber feel.

Had issues with a PS4 remote so was hoping for the best....and was pleasantly surprised. The remote functions well, can use it for both the Amazon and Netflix apps (which were a must for me). Only issue is a small lag between button press and action on the screen, not much but can be noticeable.

I'll say this is so much easier to navigate the apps, tv, netflicks, Blu-Ray, etc with this remote than using a controller. My family had a hard time rewinding the dvr and such with a controller. This remote did the trick. Harmony restored after we bought this remote!

This is such a great product especially if you are in the mood for a movie night. It easily lets you navigate various features of a movie. It's much better then having the clunky control if you are trying to enjoy Netflix or Hulu. A must have for movie lovers.

Compact but not too small. Spiffy surface texture. Very cool understated but helpful backlights. Survives multiple drops onto hardwood floor. Freaking fantastic.

I am easing my way into gaming at age 47. I primarily bought my Xbox due to the 4k player. The dvd remote is so much easier to use than the joystick. I like how the keys light up if you pick up the remote or even brush against it.

The Xbox One Media Remote is incredibly simplistic. The ability to turn on the system without having to worry about a charged controller or reaching down to the system is great, and convenient.

After owning an Xbox one for two years now and debating if I should buy this remote I finally did and big am I glad. I use my Xbox to watch movies, listen to music, check the internet and of course play games. It was a pain to use my normal Xbox controller to watch movies cause the batteries would run out quicker on the remote while it was just idoling. This remote functions like a tv remote and the battery life is amazing. It's easy to use, it lights up in the dark and I can do everything I want with it but easier!!! Glad I finally got it.

This is a really nice remote. It makes using the Xbox one so much easier when playing movies and TV shows. My wife doesn’t like using the Xbox controller, so this really helps quite a bit. I would definitely recommend it to others.
