Got tired of using my Xbox One controller as a media remote for DVD's and Blu-ray's. Bought this on my next visit. I like the feel and easy, precise controls of the buttons. Must have to watch movies on game system. Highly recommend.

For when we don't want to grab the controller, this works perfectly. Nice for when we just want to watch a movie without the kids pestering to play a game.

Great remote which allows me to not use the controller when watching video or navigating the dashboard. Main improvement would be adding dedicated X Y A B buttons like the Xbox 360 remote had.

This remote is a lot simpler than the ones for xbox 360. I like its small size, the material it's made out of and the way it lights up when you pick it up.

The remote is the best on the market. That said, it's missing a few too many buttons (A, B, X, Y, etc.). This impedes use on Netflix while searching.

I find it a little annoying when the light comes on at the slightest touch... but over all pretty smooth design, and quite functional.

Good remote that does it's job well, great for controlling DirecTV via Xbox One X.

This is great to save battery and less hassle when only watching movies/Netflix. I even bought one for a friend who hated using her husband's controller to watch Amazon Prime streams. Lights up and has a weird cool shape. Bigger than what pic shows

IR signal seems OK to me. Some reviewers say the 'next chapter' buttons don't work correctly with the Media Player (random resets to beginning). I discovered that if you first hit the fast forward button (starts the timeline), then the 'next chapter' buttons jumps ahead 30 seconds reliably (at least for video.mp4 files). This adds a useful 'commercial skip' function that the game controller lacks.

This is a must for all xbox one owners if you are planning to use the xbox as a media center.

I bought this remote control because my wife doesn't like using the Xbox One controller to navigate the system. It definitely does what it says it does. I must say that I was surprised on how slick it looks and it's pretty self explanatory. It navigates the system pretty well and thought the way it navigates internet explorer was pretty clever. However, there are no numbers and no "keyboard" button that would let you type the channel that you want to watch. You have to hit the "oneguide" button on the controller and scroll to whatever channel you want to watch. Also, for some reason the remote doesn't communicate with the Youtube App. I've tested it with all other apps and it works so not sure what is the deal with youtube. The cost is another issue. I'm not sure that it is worth $25...I think $15-$20 should be more like it. That being said, it is pretty handy for those that want to navigate through the system #minus youtube# without using voice commands, game controllers, or keyboards.

I needed something for use when watching videos since the standard controller is so touchy. It's happened to me too many times to count that I bump the controller and close the video, fast forward etc. Now I don't have to worry about that happening. The remote is small, but lights up as soon as you move it. Since my Xbox One was already set up with my audio receiver and TV, I did NOT have to program the remote at all. The remote works flawlessly in all modes I have to tested. Like other reviewers, I wish it had a number pad. That's a small complaint when you consider how well it works.

I had it for awhile and it still has not run out of power. Its great for the dark because its has its on back-light controls.

I love this remote, it can change the volume of my hd audio reciever, and turn everything on and off. It also has a sleek design.

Nice having a controller for the Xbox One that doesn't go to sleep and have to be restarted all the time! AND the light feature makes it especially handy when watching movies in a dark room. Highly recommended.

Super simple and to the point. no setup, just open the box and use it. feels good in your hand too.

This is a great item to have if you use your xbox for watching Netflix, Hulu or any videos. This will work as any normal remote control without having to turn on your gaming controller.
