If you want to play multiplayer, you will need to purchase the gold membership. The membership comes with free downloadable games each month, so it all works out in the end. Setting up child accounts can be a bit time-consuming, but having complete control over game content, movie ratings and online interactions is well worth the time investment.

Better than expected

But my XBOX 360 got the red ring of death so I figured it was time to upgrade. After some research I decided to go XBOX again and I'm glad I did. My old game uploaded and I didn't have purchase my old library. My recommendation is to go with the bigger hard drive, at least 1TB. The operating systems is so large a 500 GB wouldn't leave you much space to download new games.
