I bought this xbox one for my wife. She likes Gears of War.

After 5 weeks of ownership, the unit would turn on then immediately turn off. Contacted support and they wanted me to send it back for repair/replacement. I had the same thing happen with Xbox 360. The 360 was a real pain they had to send a box then I had to send it back and wait for repair and that was the only option which took about 4 weeks. With this one a went to a MS store had to speak with management but at least they gave me a new one off the shelf. I figured if I waited this time the bugs would be worked out but no. No quality control or testing done I guess. Cmon MS you should be able to do better. I'll see how long the replacement one lasts.

Slow processor speed during downloading but picture is awesome. If you like Playstation stay with them. I hate that you have to download everything, including the blue ray player software. Updates take forever to download.

I purchased this as a santa gift for my 7 year old son for christmas. He was so excited to open it and that's where his excitement ended. We set it up which took 9 hours because it kept on shutting off from overheating. When it was finally was finished setting up we tried to download the game which didn't work because it kept overheating and shutting off. (We had it out in the open so it wouldn't overheat). No luck. My son was so disappointed on christmas day and I was very irritated. I think that for the amount of money I spent on this it should at least work straight out of the box. What a piece of junk!!!

I've owned every Xbox since it's creation! And this one is the worst I've ever owned start up takes forever and yes I've set it for the instant on features. The game loads are the worst and most time consuming not to mention annoying. I figured that loading the game would have made it easier for game play, but it did not. I didn't notice any difference between a simple plug and play like the 360 where you would insert the disk and instantly play versus the new download that seems to take 4 hours to fully download and then play. Very disappointed because I ended up buying 3 of these consoles.

I bought this bundle and then within the 2 weeks of buying it the Xbox would freeze and turn off so I exchanged it for a different one. Now i have no issues.

Ordered the Black Friday Xbox One S Gears edition w/the extra controller deal, but did not receive the extra controller as advertised. Calling into the best buy number was extreme long. This was a Christmas gift and it was disappointing that the 2nd controller wasn't to play w/my son. Not trusting their deals as advertised.

With or without strong internet this product is very complicated. Downloads are super slow and not easy to just load a game and play.

XBOX, really should wait until their product is efficient in every way before supplying to consumers & placing on shelves

Not the best game console for a youngster, always updating then you have buy subscription to play games.

I'm a little disappointed in the Xbox one. It has more problems than my 360. Overtime I turn it on it can't connect to the internet, then when it does I often get can't connect to the room or I get in the room and get booted and my internet connection is strong. Some days I feel like I just purchased a big headache. Microsoft needs to get it together.

Nothing special about it. The PS4 is a better buy than the Xbox

It won't play blu rays. Pretty much, it's a paper weight.

Will not play NBA2k or NBA live-2 games my 9 yr old son wanted Xbox 1 for! Plays all other EA games. Paid Geek squad $100 to come to home and try to fix it. They failed. Plan to return Xbox to Microsoft store since Best Buy won't take it back. Very disappointing.

The Xbox One S is faster, more powerful and smaller than the original. Overall the capabilities are the same, but it now has an upgraded 4K Blu-Ray player. So even if you don't play games and just want an entertainment system that can let you play 4K/3D movies and watch content on Hulu, Netflix, HBO, etc. then this solid piece of hardware is for you because it's affordable and counts as a gaming console as well.
