Great for a budget.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Xbox One S is pretty much the standard Xbox One with a cheap ultra hd player due to audio drawbacks and an average upscaler. This console will not serve any purpose to you if you do not own a 4K tv with HDR technology. Trust when I say you will not notice the 2% performance boost that has been reported in the tech industry. This is absolutely the better of the Xbox one consoles if you can utilize the technology but be warned there's no port for the Kinect on the newer models and for some odd reason they don't come with a standard mic, might be nothing to you.

Close but no cigar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This would be a great setup if you are only running it to a TV and not a Receiver or home theater setup. If you have to run it through a receiver you have to get a second HDMI and use ARC if your TV supports it to get the HDR and surround sound. I am not sure they will fix this via an update but it is pretty annoying having to switch HDMI inputs on your tv every time you want to use this system. The actual system once hooked up provides a very good experience. I got rid of all my other media streaming boxes because of this. I don't use it to game too much, mostly for movies and sound. I would still recommend just make sure you know how to set it up if you have a home theater.

Great Smaller Quieter HDR 4K Console

Upgrade from 360

I don't know a lot about these game systems myself but it got me a big hug and a thank you. He is very happy to have a system he can play with his friends online and loves it. His studies are going well so it was worthwhile purchase for these reasons. Sorry I can't give a more technical review but a hug, a smile and a thank you are good enough for this proud mom.
