My family still wanted to play their games so for Christmas we got an Xbox One. The design is very attractive and became a center piece on our entertainment center. Functionally, the interface works but it still confusing. Specifically, how to "stop" a game or app requires several navigation steps. Games I've played have worked well, but I find the controller a bit too sensitive for my tastes. I got the Minecraft edition and it does come with a number of bonus material in the form of coupons. I am somewhat disappointed that the controller doesn't come with rechargeable battery options. Too this point, the major issue I have with Xbox is the pay to do anything model. The console isn't cheap and yet almost every option involves an additional cost. I like this version, but I wish there was more emphasis on included value.
