Smaller and Quieter FTW
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the S. When it's on it barely makes any sound and it takes for ever to push off the same level of heat the previous Xbox did. The controller feels great and the Bluetooth makes it easier to head into the other room to grab a drink without the controller disconnecting.

Great Upgrade but one issue stands out
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing piece of hardware with 4K now added to it. I had to adjust my home receiver and TV to take advantage of 4K via the HDMI ports (you have to configure your TV and if you have a 4K pass through receiver the HDMI also has to be configured). Thats not a big deal or a deal breaker at all. The real issue is that if you're a kinect user then you cannot immediately connect your Kinect because there is no port for you to connect it directly like you were able to with the original console. You have to get ahold of microsoft support, make sure your equipment is registered properly with them, and then they will send you a free adapter.......after they become available. Why would you not make them available at launch???

Works Great with 4K TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On its own the Xbox One S is a great console, you get access to all of the existing Xbox One games already available. However if you do not have a 4K TV this machine does not get you much over the Xbox One. Unless you want the smaller footprint of the machine and I will admit looks great on the shelf. The upgraded controllers are nicer than the original ones, but they perform just the same.

Better than ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an upgrade for an existing Xbox One user, it's probably unnecessary unless you have a 4k TV. I don't, but I still think it was worthwhile for me. I'm happy to have been able to put away my Kinnect (since it's barely supported anymore) and still get the IR blaster functionality. Plus, I really can tell a couple games play more smoothly due to the slightly overclocked GPU. Great job MSFT!

Exceeded Expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already had an Xbox One but mainly got this because I wanted to consolidate from having a gaming system and an Ultra Blu Ray player (I owned the Samsung version). I can honestly say that the 4k picture on the Xbox One S was MUCH better than the Samsung. It even seemed as tho the Xbox One S upscaled blu ray disc better than the Samsung 4k player. I firmly believe this is much better.

Worth the upgrade (for me)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The main reason for me buying the XBox One S was for the improved WiFi capabilities, i.e. wireless AC. Before switching to the S I was getting about 50-60 Mbps, but after switching get well over 100+ Mbps, obviously for gaming this is huge. I've also just got a 4k TV and it looks great on it, but I'm sure the old one would have too :) The fact that you have to get an adapter (although free through Microsoft) to use the Kinect is annoying because I like the voice controls to turn it on/off. The extra wires and power supply for this are probably worse than the power brick on the regular Xbox One. Overall I'm really happy with my purchase.

Satisfied hardcore gamer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am extremely happy with this purchase! I'm an extreme gamer and this was an immediate purchase when I heard it was coming out. The system performs admirably. The increase in processing speed was faster than the standard Xbox One. While I later purchased a 4K TV, the system still was excellent on a HDTV. Netflix is crisp and sharp. TL:DR; Really really happy with this purchase.

Superb!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best way to jump into this generation of consoles if you haven't already. It does everything the Xbox one did only it does them better and adds some much needed features and improvements. Also, it plays 4k Blu-ray for a lot cheaper than the average 4k player will cost. Worth it for that alone!
