Previous Playstaion fan until this came out. Reasons I wanted it was for Xbox exclusive games, the gorgeous look of the new console & controller, improved hardware that increases the frame rates for games and visuals can be improved with 4K and of course the 4K DVD player and streaming apps like Netflix and Hulu. Now reasons why it's better than PS4 1. Better Frame Rates 2. Better visuals but only if 4K upscale is available. 3. The home screen is layed out, more appealing and performs better. 4. 4K streaming and DVD player. 5. Better looking console and controller is more comfortable. I highly recommend buying this and possibly the PS4 Pro in the future. Both companies have amazing exclusive games so they are both worth it if not a pc gamer.

If you have a 4K TV you should definitely upgrade your Xbox One to the Xbox One S. It's also significantly faster than the predecessor and did I mention 4K, wow this also comes with an Ultra HD 4K Blu Ray player.

I traded in my original xbox one towards this and cannot explain ho much happier i am with this one. It looks sweet. Much smaller. It also seems to run better. A great upgrade from the original. Highly recommend.

I purchased this console as an upgrade to the original Xbox One. At first, I was a bit hesitant because the console I already had was still in perfect working condition. However, I knew I made the right decision as soon as I opened the box. This console is, in my opinion, significantly smaller and much more portable than its predecessor. We love not having a huge brick for power conversion, and the included stand has helped us better utilize the space in our entertainment center. Combine all of that with wireless AC and a 2TB HDD?? Yeah, excellent purchase. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who would prefer to save some space while adding an extremely versatile media console to their home entertainment setup.

This is probably the best gaming system out there. Not only can I play all my favorite games and have 2TBs of storage, but I can play 4K HD and Blu-Ray dvds on it too. And the picture quality is amazing!!

The only reasons I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because you still have to plug a headset into the controller for the mic to work. The other reason is the power cable is a bit short. Other than that this system is a much better version of Xbox One. Smaller and a bit faster with more power and the best 4K player on the market, until maybe the PS4 Neo comes out.

I'm not really a gamer but I picked it up because it was only $20 more than a Samsung 4K blu-Ray DVD player and I got the benefit of a XBox with it. I really had no need to wait for Scorpio to come out in 2017. Plays Forza 6 well.

The ability to play at 4K is mostly lost on me as I don't have a 4k TV. The increased 2TB of hard drive space is very useful, though I wish it was an SSD to cut down load times. I'm hesitant to use the stand to mount it upright because it looks like it blocks ventilation holes; the smaller form factor is going to trap more heat, so I skipped that feature and it's sitting flat like my old X-Box. It was also nice that Microsoft ran a promotion to give previous X-Box One owners with Kinect an adapter to use Kinect with the X-Box One S for free.

I can't compliment Microsoft enough for producing the Xbox One S. Plenty of storage (2tb) in this model and a much slimmer design. The only negative is the need for a separate adapter to use kinect.

I didn't read any reviews prior because I purchased it the week it was available. It's smaller, no power brick, and the way the Xbox should've been made to begin with. Much quieter. Really enjoy it.

Like most Xbox One owners, I was going to wait for the Project Scorpio version to come out next year, but with a need to have an Xbox in two locations I decided to get an “S”, and I’m sure glad I did. The Xbox S is so much quieter, smaller and simpler. With only two cables to plug in, setup is very easy. Did I mention how quiet it is? The lack of fan noise makes this a true media center option after purchasing the very nicely built Xbox One remote alongside it.

This version is not only smaller but it is better in every way. It stays clean and can be set up to sit upright with a stand. Previous Xbox One would get finger prints and scratches so easily.

i had the original Xbox, the Xbox 360 and the original Xbox One. this model smokes them all. It is faster, much more hard drive space, and because of the 4K built in, the game video quality is even sharper. you notice a picture difference even on non-4K games, if you have a 4k television. i highly recommend it.

The One S is slightly faster than the Xbox One. Part of that might be the extra hard drive space, but I have seen marginal improvements. I like that I can use an IR blaster to turn on my TV and Home Theater without the need of a Kinect. Over all just about the same as the One, but from what I read online around a 10% improvement at most.
