Needs more power!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from PS4 to this console soley over the hyped included 4K Blu ray player and due to the fact I play almost no console specific games on neither system, i will be as least bias as possible. The Home screen design is a bit cluttered and minimal modifications are allowed as there are several things you really can't remove. THe layout is too much windows and doesn't give you the true sense of a console with the basic functions. There is just so much going on that it's quite complicated to navigate around especially with apps. Now for the gaming power.. yes it has slightly more teraflops still with the same graphic memory but the extra processing power is only for developers to use the hdr. im getting reduced frame rate and lag frame spikes in the opening scenes! I'm not talking about slight spikes on multiple in game explosions or somewhere where you would typically peak the graphic card power. Besides the long loading times even after downloading the games to their 5400 to hdd, still takes loads to restart scenes or move to different scenarios. The fact that I get reduced frames on non gameplay scenes makes me worry for the larger titles blasting hdr and 4K to the tvs. I truly think this will be obsolete Ina year. If you have an Xbox one original stick with it till Scorpio. If you dont own an Xbox console then your consumer surplus is not as high meaning you can simply just wait a year assuming you have a different console. Love the 4K "free" Blu ray player but it really lacks power and style
