The Xbox One released back in 2013 is a beast of a machine. When I first unboxed it, it felt like the days of VCR's again. Fast forward nearly 3 years and the Xbox One S has been released. The footprint of this machine is quite a bit smaller, but more importantly, it's also shorter, which is important when dealing with the limited space in most entertainment center slots. On the form factor side, the biggest and best change is the inclusion of the power brick inside the actual box. No more gigantic power brick behind the TV taking up all the space. Performance wise, this is the same thing that was released 3 years ago, however it does now have a 4K Ultra HD drive as well as 4K & HDR output. This won't make a difference on your games, but if you have a 4K TV and would like to get the most out of it, this is by far the most affordable physical 4K disc player on the market. It obviously supports 4K streaming apps such as Netflix and Amazon prime as well, and for that matter, they seem to run better than the counterparts on my "smart" TV. Ultimately, this is an amazing media box. Gaming on it isn't bad either, however if I was limited to this or my PS4, I'd stick with the PS4 as my favorite pure gaming device. I would recommend this to a friend looking for a 4K player/streaming box. I would not recommend it to a friend looking for a current gen gaming console.

I absolutely love the new Xbox One S mainly because its so much smaller than the original Xbox. It has the 4k capabilities and doesn't have the huge power block anymore.

Sleek and quiet. Not the biggest fan of the UI but the hardware itself is extremely impressive. And its the only place you'll find a 4K BR player in a console.

Great console with a better OS, controller, online store and online gaming than PS4 which is confoundedly difficult to navigate or purchase thing in comparison to XBOX1 but if graphics and smooth gameplay is all you care then I'd recommend the PS4 PRO defenitly has a more immersive environment and smoother frame rate. Currently have both aforementioned consoles. Each one is great for their own reasons and offer some improvement over their previous interaction.

This xbox is very fast and I love the fact that it plays 4k since i just bought a 4k tv.

Much faster than the old xbox one , the best thing you can do for yourself as a gamer is buy a 4k tv with high dynamic range and hdr10 and make sure the hdmi ports are 10bit you can get a nice tv for about 1,000 then your xbox one s will look awesome. And to you all ps4 pro guys the xbox one scorpion Rules. Ps4 pro no 4k blue ray drive what a waist of money. Lol

Trumps the original xbox one in every way..HDR for games, UHD blu ray player.. Wonderful exclusive games. Up-converts all games to 4k.. Best console to date...Go get one..

Great bundle.. Best value... I traded in my old xbone for this and I gotta say I don't regret it.. With it if u have a 4k TV.. Looks cleaner. More colors.. A better option.

Its new size actually fits my small space on my shelf and i have to say Microsoft did it again with another improvement on this console

Considering other alternatives, this was a steal as a 4K Bluray player. I don't really care about the Xbox portion, as I'm primarily a PC gamer, but the movie portion is just what I needed.

Yep....! I tell you what, the price at $299 is a dango good price! 4k media content..well dang!

This is the best deal out there currently if you're looking for a 4K Blu-Ray player. At first it doesn't support bit streaming audio output support, but that update is coming in a month or two after which it will support ATMOS. Combined with a 4K HDR TV, you can't go wrong. The added functionality of the Xbox for games is just a bonus ;)

Absolutely never wanted to buy an Xbox one due to its gigantic size. When the one s came out, I was in love with the way they designed the console. Not only did they make it a lot smaller but they also made it look good too! My advice to first time xbox one buyers is to get Quantum Break and forza series (especially horizon) great fun.

Haven't played it much but have watched movies and it system is much sleeker and better than the first gen.

At $299 this is an INCREDIBLE deal! even if it just play 4k videos it would be on price par with all the others out there. and since this does 4k video, plays games, browse the internet, listen to music and a TON of other things (all inside an xbox one that is almost HALF the size) is even MORE incredible still! wow!
