Customers are saying

Customers love the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter's compatibility and sound quality, frequently praising its ease of use and convenient volume controls. While some users mentioned connection issues and a bulky design, the positive feedback on functionality and affordability outweighs these concerns. Many appreciate the mute button and find the price reasonable. However, a few users noted concerns about battery life and the adapter's size.

Sound was HORRIBLE and controller kept disconnexting. New controllers have headphone jack built in. Don't waste your $ on this. Get one of the new controllers instead and sell your older controller.

Like I said, it does the job, but Turtle Beach makes a much higher quality adapter for the same price. If you're okay with ordering it online and waiting a few days, I recommend doing so.

get static through it sometimes, works okay. Decided to but a optical converter. Ridiculous that xbox one has a special connector on the bottom of the controller. Should be both a 2.5 and 3.5 plug.

My son has a weird Live communication issue where he can hear his friends over a headset but they cannot hear him. Thought this would fix the problem but it did not.

It does what it suppose to, hear chat & control volumes. But sometimes pushing game volume will cut off your voice from chat. Have to remember to hit the chat button again.

I bought it for use with my older XBOX 360 TB but couldn't get it working even after contacting TB so I really cant rate it, I returned it with no problem and got me a new TB for my XBOX ONE

Astro A40/Xbox1 set up. Reoccurring static on mic after a couple weeks. It is ridiculous enough that a $250 headset/mixamp with a $500 system, you are forced to buy this adapter in order to talk with your friends on any multi-player game. That is if you do not want to use the junky $2 mic that comes with the said $500 system. Anyways, Microsoft makes a terrible adapter that creates static for other people hearing you. It does not happen until a couple weeks later. If you do opt to gamble on this adapter, SAVE THE RECEIPT. I've gone through 3 now.

Good for using your 360 mic on Xbox One, but frequently breaks and went through three of these. Much better to buy Xbox One headset.

It's a really poor connection, the audio drops or crackles about every 30s to a minute, or whenever it is slightly jiggled.

Product works perfectly fine. Nice balancer between game/chat volume built in. I have had to replace it twice due to the adapter cable not working after 12-18 months.

When this is connected the headset allows others to hear you but you can’t hear them. Once removed the headset worked fine. Will be returning to the store.

Would've rated it higher if it was compatible with OMTP and CTIA standards. The mic on Apple earpods or iPhone compatible earbuds does not work with this adapter.

This adapter worked briefly before it started causing other issues with the headset. Was disappointed to find out a few other friends had the same issue.

I can't get it to work with my headset, advertised incorrectly i think or I am doing something wrong. Not worth sending the product back to manufacturer.

I have purchased 3 of these for my son. They only last about 2 weeks before the small gauge wire begins to short out and fail. This is a Microsoft problem, not a Best Buy problem. This appears to be the only option available to adapt third party headsets with the XBOX ONE. If you are a heavy gamer, be prepared to purchase this adapter often.

Still mad that they made you buy an adapter to use old headsets or even brand new headsets. Just another reason for Microsoft to make more money. Still a necessity.

This is not worth the money for the small use you get for it. New controllers are coming out with these built in so do not waste your money on this.
