Really shouldn't need an adapter to talk or hear. The old way was fine. This is just another money making scheme by Microsoft. Thing already died on me as of today, hopefully there shouldn't be any trouble returning it as it's less than a month old.

Excessive static and just a poor quality product..

Makes the controller very uncomfortable when attached. Then the cord sticks straight out making it even more uncomfortable. My chord was broken within one week of use . It's not engineered well at all.

Sucks that Microsoft changed the headphone jack on the controllers. Hard to get game volume and chat volume balanced for games. Forza you can't hear friends but the engine noise will make you go deaf. Like I said, what else you gonna use.

I purchased this thinking I could use my old Turtle Beach headset. Nope all I got was high pitched static with my xbox live friends telling me they could barely hear me. So, if you are trying to use an old headset good luck.

My kids love being able to use their own headsets when playing on the xbox one. The adapter is considerably cheaper than the headsets you can buy for xbox one.

It worked well at first, but month in you'd plug it in and couldn't turn the sound up or down. Couldn't take mute of ect, soon after it just didn't work at all.

When this thing works it is nice. When it works... It makes my Xbox One controller disconnect and shut down randomly during a match. That's very annoying. It also has less than stellar voice chat performance. Friends say I sound staticy and almost robotic at times. The game sound is nice until the controller shuts off and makes the headset stop working... Microsoft is supposedly working on an update to fix this... We'll see how they goes. The controller won't just shut off if you leave it plugged in to the Xbox One via USB. In its current state I can't recommend this to anybody.

I plugged in the headset and checked with Cortana. Cortana advises it can' hear anything and neither could I. The controls work when I press it but there is no sound. I'm puzzled

Forced to buy something that should have been part of the controller in the first place. Works just enough to make you mad but not bad enough to throw out the window because you need it.

This adapter doesn't work with my elite controller. I updated all devices and still nothing. Looked online for trouble shooting and still couldn't get it to work.

There was a lot of static and crackle in the first on, so I returned it and second one works as it should. Wires are a pain but it works well with a turtle Beach x12s

I have not been able to get this adapter to work since I purchased it I always have to mute my mic and now after 6 months it simply stopped working

The product was great for what it was designed for, but for the adaptation for turtle beach headphones....didn't work after trying all venues....

It's cool and all but dang, is it really about money or enjoying the game? Microsoft you have way too many accessories included just to enjoy the console.

My Turtle Beach surround sound headset now sounds terrible. $140. High quality headset and I would rather play with the Xbox One standard and listen to the TV.

waste of my money they look easy to set up but kept getting error screen on the system did not want to upgrade frozen my xbox one waste of money

I would not recommend this product! I suggest buying a new headset. It works but is difficult to use. Wires everywhere!
