This is a must have if you play Xbox. Even if you have the newer controllers with the headset port you need this because you can increase the volume of your headset more with this and it sounds much better.

This thing does exactly what it says it does. Most people dont know but the buttons on the left actually change the volume between chat and game. So play with the settings to see what you like best.

Good way to save money on a new headset but cord got an shortage in months and you will have to choose between a louder game or chat audio. cheaper way out than buying a new headset

It enabled my old remote for the xbox one to take my headset which had the 3.5 jack. Saved me money since i really love that headset which i use for my desktop

I guess that there anot many options for adaptors in the Xbox. This works perfect, you can connect any headset with 3.5mm audio and sounds great!

I purchased this just to use my headphones with the xbox late at night so i dont wake people up. Works perfectly and the price was right.

I use this even on controllers that have the 3.5mm jack included because of the mute and volume toggles. Those alone make this worth it.

I had been waiting a long time for this item to become available. I am of the same mind as many others in feeling that this should have been available at launch. That being said, the quality of the product in my opinion is quite poor and should have been a lot better given that it was released several months after the console's release. The device tends to have a lot of static background noise the standard Microsoft headset does not, even when only having chat audio active. Added to that the volume controls are very clumsy and a chore to figure out. I don't know if mine was just missing a manual to explain how the controls worked, or if this was an oversight by Microsoft with the entire product line. Trying to figure out the controls is a good bit of trial and error. I thought originally that you could change the volume of the game/chat audio separately, but that doesn't seem to be the case. If I try to do what I would of assumed would be raising the volume of the game audio, it mutes the chat, and vice versa if I try to do what I had assumed would raise the chat volume. Very odd controls, and perhaps I am not using them right, but without a manual, how could I know that. Very disappointed with the product, if it wasn't the only option available to use 3rd party headsets(since I despise the cheap Microsoft headset) I would return it.

I think the newer xbox controllers basically have this built in. I am not the biggest fan of giant companies nerfing their stuff, releasing adapters, then a few months later releasing a "new and improved" versions that doesn't need adapters. That being said it works great, and is nice having volume controllers easily accessible.

I use these for my A50 Astro. Its a must have for any non Xbox only headset. I can't not recommend them because you need them.

This great so i can use my current headphones and able to easily raise/lower or mute my mike and headset volume.

I'm super excited to pick this up friday because I have been wanting to use my headset with my xbox one for awhile now. This is something they should of did when it came out but at the same time I understand because they wanted people to buy the other headsets and etc. I know people are mad because its not bluetooth but I say just be happy they did this and you dont have to buy a new headset.

This headset can save you a lot of money and it works with almost every headset you have. My only real complaint about this is why did it take so long to get to my local Best Buy store when it was supposedly released on the second Friday of March. With that aside, this is definitely something to invest in if you have a budget crisis and can't afford the official Xbox One Headsets.

Works good , but it is kinda obnoxious that microsoft made you pay to use your old headsets.

I recommend this product especially for games like destiny or the division, if you use live

The adapter helps my old gen px22 work just as good or better on the next gen xbox one console.

must use for xbox live chat for A50 astro. i use these every time i use my xbox.

Adapter works great most of the time. Every now and then, I lose control of my character, and get a message saying to reconnect my controller. Problem is, my controller never turned off. It caused my character to start walking on his own and ended up getting shot. I hope they patch this, cause I'd hate for this to happen, and I'm the last kill.
