Got my son a very expensive controller for xmas but without this gadget it wouldn't have worked.

Bought this to use my Xbox 360 turtle beach headphones. Works well.

Microsoft's Xbox One offers impressive graphics and can integrate and control live TV with Kinect (which will drive the price up by $100). The Xbox One has a slightly better roster of exclusive games going into 2015 compared to that of the PS4. Xbox Live Gold is no longer required for basic streaming apps and synced game-saves, and the Microsoft console has a slightly better selection of those media apps than PS4 at the current time.

Easy to use and allows for the use of any headset with a standard 3mm headphone jack. The option to use any headset I find most comfortable is great for me and it keeps me from having too many headsets lying around because I can use the same headset for my PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

Bought this for my son to use with his solo beats, turns out the beats microphone cable is non-compatible. I needed to purchase a separate boom mic (After market Auvio) and headphone/microphone splitter. Which cost an additional $40 to get this to work. At least he has good headphones now. Still worked out cheaper than purchasing a high quality gaming headset.

I have a set of turtle beach x12s that i used with my xbox360 but once I upgraded to the xbox one they no longer would work with it (which I knew). I tried to purchase a similar replacement turtle beach headset (earforce recon 50) but they were garbage. Couldn't hear yourself through the mic. So i looked up this adapter and based on the youtube videos it looked like it would work...and it did! Note. You don't use the old controls attached to the headset but rather the ones on this adapter but once you get that it works great! So glad I could keep my x12s with the xbox one. My brother did the same thing a week later. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because you can't use the existing x12 controls and it makes the controller a bit heavier but still very usable.

This connects a headset to xbox one controllers. Now I can play with the turtle beach headset.

I bought this adapter to use my Xbox 360 gaming head phones with my new Xbox One system. I can hear the sound, which sounds great but the voice is not working (yet). I'm unable to tell if I am doing something wrong or if its the adapter. I'll visting Best Buy to see if it can be fixed.

This is a good item. It works good. I was glad to find it so I could use my Xbox 360 headphones.

I literally only purchased this because it was required to use my Astro A40s. It does exactly what it is meant to do, but it shouldn't cost as much as it does. My PS4 doesn't require an extra $25 piece of equipment to get the same usability out of it, so it gets 4 stars for price.

I have a Triton headset that I use/used with my 360 and I was very happy with it. I did not want to invest another chunk of money into a new headset just to be able to chat while wearing a headset, so this adapter saved me a lot of money (it's still a little expensive though, in my opinion). I did not like that I had to connect the adapter and then connect the controller to my Xbox One to update the controller, but it wasn't that tough. Once I did that, it works great! The buttons are a little confusing (the product picture shown here is for the chat headset, not the adapter), but once I looked them up online, I found that you can adjust the mix of the chat volume vs. the game volume which I thought was cool. I would recommend this if you have an old headset that you like and you do not want to buy a new one.

Now i can use my bose headphones and enjoy both chat and gameplay without disturbing anyone.

Works great for my son to use a wired headset. Beats spending $200+ for a good wireless one.

This adapter works great. If you have an older third party headset, you will need this. 5 stars.
