It did require a controller update in order to work properly, so don't try to skip the update or the sound is horrible. After the update the sound is just as expected.

Lets you use your old Headsets

It took me a long time to get the right combo for chat and game volume because my headset has its own controls and the adapter does as well. Still a good by just could be a bit confusing on older headsets.
