I purchased the item to be able to run my previous turtle beach headset. The adapter isn't bad, quality is what to be expected, however it can be a little finicky to adjust volume. Overall the product isn't bad.

If you have an older xbox one controller with out the 3.5 headphone jack then this will work for you. If you have a set of headphones that you want to use for gaming then this will most likely work for you.

The headset adapter works very well. I have no issues turning volume up or down with the buttons, changing mode or muting. The quality is very good.

it works as it should i needed it to use my 369 headset ,, but i turned around and picked up a turtle beach ones after better sound.. but still use if just want to chat and still hear everything else..

Does everything I wanted. Adjust chat and game volume separately. Can plug any headphone with mic in. I use the headphones that came with my phone.

Package came sooner then expected! I ordered on a Friday night and it arrived on a Tuesday if I recall! I wasn't expecting it for 10 days so my son was excited to see this so soon. Package was in perfect condition. Everything works so I am happy!

What Can I say? You need it.. You have to buy it.. Is it overpriced? Yes it is.. But what other choice do you have? It works.. it does what I want it to do..

I own an Astros a40. Best headphones out. I am not going to spend any dime on new headphones. Now that xbox1 has patch Dolby sound sounds great. But I still couldn't talk and it's annoying to play games with racist people and ignorant people singing and rapping in their mic. So this adapter does work for those just want to play multiplayer game and mute people like that. Slight popping g here and there but very subtle. But m$ is aware of issue and they are working on it. Highly recommend it

I recently recieved an Xbox One for Christmas and realized that I did not have the adapter for my turtle beach headset and the store didn't have one in at the time so I ordered it in store and had it in my hands in three days! Very satisfied :)

Got yo have one. Before you big it by its self, I would recommend and see if you get one with other things you order. Turned out I fix big need to order one. One came with something else I ordered.

Works for what I need it for. I have 1st Gen Xbox one controllers, and you need this adapter if you want to plug in a 3.5mm headphone set. Microsoft should have gotten the controllers right in the beginning, all for the $$$

I have the new controllers that you can just plug into, but my headset doesn't have a mute button, and this is why I bought this. Works great and having a mixer to balance game sound and chat sound to your liking is a bonus.

I bought this adapter hoping that I could use it in some way shape or form with my xbox 360 headset from turtle beach. So far that is a no-go, due to that headset having a plug that went to the controller. Anyways, it is great for just watching xbox video or playing games with headphones. its only $25 so its well worth the price for its function. If you already have a high end sound system that lets you use wireless headphones for HDMI devices, you will have no use for this item.

It works. It would have been nice to have an instruction manual describing how the features work--its not as self explanatory as one would think.

This gadget does what it is supposed to do. I am glad that Microsoft has finally added an audio jack on their new controllers so we do not have to spend $25 just to get audio from your controller.

The headset adapter is great. I can game, chat and watch/listen to movies and music without disrupting people around me. Especially when my 7month old is asleep. It's nice to hear all the action going on in the games instead of at really low volumes on the sound bar. The only gripe I have is that every once in a while sound cuts out or clips out. It is just a little annoying, but not a deal breaker. I would like to give it a 4.5 but not possible on the rating system.

My son has used this adapter for an older set of headphones for the Xbox One and he said they work great with the adapter and was a simple hook up.

My controller's audio jack didn't work properly, so I couldn't use the standard mono headset. Getting this solved my problem. Small amount of latency if you listen to game audio through it.

My brother lost his adapter for his Xbox so i got this for him. Honestly I think it's ridiculous that you need this adapter, but, it does what it was made to do and have not had any problems.

I'm not the most familiar with the headsets for the Xbox one, but the Logitech headset I bought said this was required to use it with the Xbox. It has worked well in the few months I have had it. I do like how it has a sort of built in volume mixer feature to turn the game volume up or down in the headset in comparison to the voice volume. That's part of the Xbox software though. Sooo... It's good. GG Microsoft on getting my money.
