Had to replace part as cord went defective, sad that I had to buy complete package to get the plug cord. which is what went defective, and apparently is a common issue with this cord adapter.

They are good for chatting and what not.. But this is actually the third one I've gone through because the little cable breaks so easily.

Bought one of these to use my Xbox 360 Turtle Beach headset with my Xbox One. Only issue I've run across is the wire connector that runs from the adapter to the headset jack can apparently break after a while, to the point where headset use is nearly impossible unless the wire is angled a certain way. Similar issue with the default Xbox One headset, so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised since it's essentially the same wire.

Great adapter does its job just wish it was included w purchase of xbox one and came with clear instructions on how to adjust game chat and party chat in games. Overall excellent product.

When looking for an adapter for any headset- I would advise you stick to the products geared towards the system and do not try to save a quick buck for a 3rd party product that MIGHT work or a used product.

This thing is awesome. At first, I got it only to replace the piece of junk mic that came with the xbox. I was going to wait for a wireless mic, but after using this, I won't go back to anything else. There are two separate volumes, one for party and one for game that go straight to my ears. I can mute the tv and not disturb anyone while I'm swishing 3's with Mike Dunleavy in 2k14. If your mic is causing you issues, ditch the piece of junk, buy this and an old pair of Xbox 360 turtle beaches for $40 and you'll game like a king from here on out

This will allow your controller to take almost any pair of headphones with a mic inside of it or without. Definitely a value buy to be able to use multiple items you may have lying around would recommend and buy again.,

This product works just fine the only problem I have with it is that it shouldn't be necessary in the first place why can't they just make a regular headphone jack like the 360?

This attachment takes all the sound from your tv via xbox and pust it into your headset. Great for if your kids play their tvs to loud.

Adapter allows me to use standard microphone and headset. This flexibility is great as I will be able to upgrade / purchase a different non proprietary headset in the future.

Its a great product and you can use any headset with the standard connector on it. I bought this to play and watch movie quietly while the baby is asleep. My wife, our baby and myself are very happy with this product.

For someone who doesn't like turning up the volume so the neighbors can hear, this is a must have. I now use an old stereo headset and it works wonderfully. No noticeable battery difference either, on the controller.

Being that I wear hearing aids I had to buy this to plug in the hearing aid accessory for me to hear the xbox. It works well but I hate proprietary plug etc. At least on the new xbox one elite controller they fixed that.

Personally, not happy Xbox went with their own headphone connector but the product to convert to any headphone works fine...you just don't have the ability to use a microphone.

I bought this because I had a Turtle Beach headset I used for CoD on Xbox 360 and wanted to use it for Xbox One this was easy to use and works very well. I didnt have to sacrifice the quality sound of my headset with this.

Unit works well with my Turtle Beach. No issues with compatibility or sound quality.

Bought this to replace an aftermarket part that I was using to accommodate my Astro A50 wireless headset. It works as expected and I'm very happy that Microsoft modified the adapter to accept the stereo headset plug.

This is amazing. Makes you feel like there is other people in the room. Very well made. Really love it. Easy to use.

I bought this by mistake, but I'm happy to have it for the mute button alone. Good when I need to talk to someone quickly while playing (so I don't have to fish for the mute button on a cord and take my hands off the controller) or when I have to cough and such. I think it is a little pricey for what it offers--hence the four stars--and it seems to exacerbate the controller battery usage.

Great for being able to use other headsets!!! And being able to adjust game volume vs. chat volume is a huge plus!!!
