I got it because I thought my mic was busted, but it turned out the controller was the problem. Still works great if you have a mic separate from the Xbox One

This adapter works as expected but unfortunely has now been repaced with an updated connection on the new controllers.

The item replaced my wireless transmitter for my turtle beach head set. The adaptor was easy to install and the controller updates automatically.

I would and have recommended this product to others I did not like the idea of spending that much money for a headset and not be able to use them with the new x-box

Works well and does what it's supposed to do. The price isn't bad either.

Adapter plugs right into the bottom of the controller and I usualy just leave it attached all the time since it doesn't not affect sound while not plugged into my headsets. It makes my turtle beach even better with the chat and game volume controls by the controller now. Should have been included with the Xbox One at launch and it is a little pricey for a headset adapter but this is the Next Gen way of things to come. Worth it to every gamer that uses high performance headsets!

The product is totally worth every penny if you need to play with your headset. I just wish Microsoft started making one that doesn't need an adapter at all.

This little device takes your Turtle Beach (or other third party headset) that you purchased for use with your last generation console (likely to the tune of $100 or more) and allows you to use it with the same functionality that it had on that last gen console. It definitely beats spending an additional hundred to hundreds of dollars on another headset. You will have to go to the system section of your dashboard and do a controller update in order to use this device.

Does the job, will allow you to use PS4 Gold Wireless headphones on XB1

It is a fine device and works well (my son disappears into his room...so it must work well). I (we) have owned multiple generation PS's and I get a little grumpy when we always have to buy "new" things to make a "Next Gen" system work. That said: it works! Yes I would recommend to a friend unless of course they want to build one from their countless PS 1,2,3 & 4 parts...

So happy I can use my astros headset with this. Didn't have to buy a new one. Easy to set up. Worth the price.

At first I wondered why they made this, then I wondered why they didn't put the same input on the controllers. Then they did just that. Lol. I liked having the easy to use controls on the controller because if you're using a PC or cell phone headset you night need them! Handy if you have an older controller and a non-Xbox headset and need to talk.

It does what it says, the only thing I would like it to include is a way to set for chat only and not have the game audio coming through the headset.

I purchased this for my son because his was not working....that what he assumed, but it turned out to be his headset that was defective, not this.

This purchase was a replacement. Went to Game stop first. A used adapter was a dollar less and a new one was a dollar more. I will go to Best Buy first the next time.

Works great with my Xbox 360 headset. It lets me switch from the Xbox One to Xbox 360 with ease.

Xbox one stereo adaptor works great! It provides easer access to headset controls like mute and allows you adjust chat and game sounds on the fly. In my case it provided a better headset connection than the natural rounded edge on the controller alone. Used for game chat on Friday the 13th the game along with a turtle beach recon headset.
