I purchased this adapter, because I was cheap and I didn't want to go out and buy a whole new set of headphones. They work fine with connecting my Triton headphones to my xbox one, however, the sounds isn't all that great and the buttons on my Triton headphones don't seem to work as well when I raise the volume. It's a decent adapter if you don't want to spend money on a whole new set of headphones and if you don't mind a little affect on the sound quality.

I like to play after the family is in bed. This is great must have so I can enjoy the sound effects and dialog of what I'm playing while ensuring everyone in bed remains asleep.

I bought this gadget to convert my turtle beach 360 headset over to Xbox one and it works very well.

I was looking for a connection to use my Beats headphones on. This is a great product but the level of volume could use a little boosting.

This is the only way I can use my old headset with new system. Good but stupid seeing as it messes up pretty easily. Least I got it replaced

I find it stupid that they changed the ports on the controller. Seemed really dumb but it works great.

Before this adapter came out, I could not use my astros and chat through my xbox one. So, I am happy to have that functionality now. However, the xbox one DD through optical quality is not good. They are planning to fix that in an upcoming update. Also, the chat is so sensitive that the mic on my astros now is overblown and people say my voice quality can be too loud and crackly. Astro released a patch for some of their mixamps but not all and if you apply the patch, it means your mixamp won't work as well with an older console. I have chosen to just move the mic farther from my mouth. That seems to be an OK solution for now. I do like having the mute control on my controller with this adapter. So, that's good. Overall, it came late and still has issues but I'll take it. One last note, I bought one of these that was defective and had to return it when my controller would not update. I was on the line with MS support for an hour+ and we never got it working. The new one worked. So, if you have trouble, it may be a bad unit.

My cat ate my old head set wire, i had no idea that they had changed the controllers. i get back home and try to plug it in and there was no way/where to. So i called and they said you needed this part to make it work. This product is works exactly as described. darn xbox changing the controllers costing me 25.00 but it is what it is. easy to attach and you dont really notice it. no problems yet!

Good addition for the xbox however it didn't work with my inline mic. Still with best buys return policy try it out and see if it works for you.

Love that I can hook up my Bose noise cancelling headphones. Battlefield One sounds sick!

My son was unable to connect his headset to his Xbox1 game system so we were able to make a quick trip to Best Buy and purchase this adapter. Problem Solved

Works just how it should. Just annoying to have to have this and the extra cables. But I guess it's better than buying a new headset

This works good with my headset that requires a 3mm std plug. the two buttons work good to mute chat or game music. My only criticism is when you go to pull the unit out of the xbox one controller, there is no easy way to grab it and over time you could 'break' the unit.

Game play is better and more immersive with good headphones. This was a cost effective accessory that allows use of single jack headphones or a gaming headset with mike.

My grandson got a gaming chair for Christmas but it did not work right thus after some research we found the answer! Thank you Darrel Boyd for the help, great employee!

This needs to be built in the controller like the ps4. That's why they sell xbox cheaper because they get you with needed accessories

Way cheaper than buying a new headset, good buy and would recommend this to anyone!

Great adapter to resolve the after market headset incompatibity, 3.5mm cable that's included is EXTREMELY CHEAP that breaks easily.

Adapter works well. Haven't had any issues with any of the buttons. If you have a quality set of headphones, this is a perfect option if you're looking to avoid spending upwards of $100 for a Bluetooth set. The only downside I've found is that it does add some bulk to the controller, but this doesn't interfere with gameplay use.
