Device works great, but frustrating that Microsoft requires this purchase for use of headphones.

I have plenty of 360 mics that in my opinion are much durable than the standard Xbox One headset. Also, I own Turtle Beach's that will only work with this adapter.

There is no backlighting unlike the headset that came with the Xbox. All in all that is minor. It works like it's supposed to. It's made by Microsoft so it's great!!

Plugs nicely in Xbox One original controller to give clear sound. Easy to remove.

The adapter (or controller) should have had a USB and an audio/video jack, but instead we got this. This does the job though.

We purchased this after our dog chewed the adapter for the charging station for the turtle beach head set. Perfect match. No issues. Pricey but worth it for the fit.

I purchased this adapter so I can use my XBOX 360 Turtle Beach headset on my XBOX One. The adapter is not a simple 1 for 1 adapter. It comes with its own controls that you have to play with to get the sound right for both chat and gameplay sound. The instructions that come with it were not helpful in adjust the sound. I recommend looking online for videos or walkthroughs on how to adjust it properly.

You can use any pair of headphones + mic via a 4pole connected, being able to have game and chat audio is great and does not disturb my sleeping wife and child

Had to buy this so we could use beats headphones but then realized the beats do not allow u to speak. U can only hear what is going on. Xbox should fix this!!!

I purchased this adapter so I could use my high quality Gaming headset that I used for my Xbox 360 to work with the Xbox One. After reading reviews, I decided to purchase and very happy that I did. I can control how much voice and how much stereo game music to hear at one time now. I am glad I purchased this!

Bought this for my Elite controller to use with a wired headset where the volume controls (and mute) were on the earpieces (or one where it's half way up the wire). This allows me to mute and control the audio balance between the game and voice chat on the fly without having to take my hands off the controller. If you find yourself in a similar situation, get this.

Was purchased to replace a broken adapter. I have no idea how or why the first one broke... Pretty easy ony things. Oh well!

microsoft included a chintzy headset with xbox one so therefore i had to buy this adapter for about $30 or so, so i could use my turtle beaches and or better headsets

Have to constantly unplug to establish a good connection. But overall good device .

Love how I can just touch a button to mute, turn volume up and down, etc.

I bought this so i can plug in my headset which is even better my ps4 gold headset plugs right in with the 3.5 mm cable so happy it all works worth the money.
