Works as described and is not too big to cause issues with the controller while playing the game. Good price if you already have a headset. 4 Stars because this should be a part of the XBOX ONE package and not an additional purchase.

This chat adapter itself has worked very well for the 3 years I have owned one. The mute button is easy to reach. The game audio can be adjusted, as well as the chat level relatively well.. Take care with the supplied adapter cable, it can be damaged if yanked or snagged as its pretty thin.

I found it to be much much better than having 2 sets of headsets, my Turtle Beach headset now works with both Ps4 and XBox One. Good value indeed.

I was not even aware that I would need this until a friend told me about it. Glad they did too so that I could continue to use my Turtle Beach headset.

My kids love being able to talk to their friends while playing on our Xbox. They have basic headphones with chat capability built is and this chat adapter makes all the difference for them. They can hear the game/chat in their headphones simultaneously and adjust either the game/chat volume without having to have the tv volume turned up.

I bought my daughter a Turtle Beach headset that strangely didn't come with this adapter. I have used this same adapter on my headset and works great. It can be a little confusing at first figuring out the game volume and chat volume options, but one you get it locked in, you're good to go. I would recommend this to anyone needing a headphone adapter.

Really convenient by eliminating the need to replace batteries. Also includes a long cable just in case you need to play while the controller charges.

My son has the first xbox one that came with older controlers. For Christmas he got headphones that were supposed to work with xbox one, however, after reading instructions we relized that the adapter that came with the xbox one does not have a plug in jack for headphones. After purchasing this product everything works great and my son is very happy.

Thank goodness I didn't have to lay down another hundred bucks on a new set of headphones for the Xbox One. Works perfectly, setup was a snap.

My headset didnt have one so i purchased this one after reading reviews. its been amazing and also love having the controls easily accessible!

I'm giving it a 3 because it works as it should, but its ONLY a 3 because I feel Microsoft did a silly thing requiring another product to use most gaming headsets. its a 2.5mm jack on the controller, why not just make it a 3.5mm jack in the first place? Well because now they get to make an extra $25 off someone who doesn't want to buy one of the Microsoft headsets....

Nice having controls for chat at the bottom of the controller again. Missed that from my Xbox 360 controller

Sound quality is awesome and it isn't too bulky on the Controller.

To my dismay I was told that this piece was needed to use my headset for the Xbox One. Product does work great and I can use my old headset.

It is a bit expensive for its purpose but it is nice, with the included adapter, to be able to use a 360 headset with the Xbox one. Though I was disappointed that I could not use my PC headset with the adapter as a headset. The brand I have seemingly only works as headphones with this adapter...

its pretty good. Works even with normal earbuds but only for game audio.
