Microsoft - Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter does the job it was designed for. However the mere fact that you get sucked into buying this adapter is wrong but they have you either way so the product works well and does what it was designed to do. There are no longer any issues with compatibility at all with this product.

I was hoping that this would work with my $400 beats studio headphones and in fact it does. It does NOT work with the microphone, which is fine for me because I only use it for sound at night anyway so as to not disturb my neighbors.

I bought the headset adapter for my son. It is great and serves its purpose!

I wanted a headset for Xbox One, but the one that comes with it is terrible, and I have a Skullcandy headset for 360 that I really like. Spending a little on this saved me from having to give it up and go back to Turtle Beaches. All I had to do was update the controller I had it plugged into and it was ready to use.

You can always count on Best Buy to have quality products. This X-Box One item is exactly what my son needed.

This adapter plugs into the bottom of your Xbox 1 controller, allowing you to "on the fly" adjust volume levels of the headset and chat. I mainly dislike this because it shouldn't be so complicated to where I need to buy an adapter to do so, but if you don't, you end up having to go through the Xbox 1 settings every time. The adapter itself is fine. I believe it allows you to use a stereo headset where if you don't use the adapter it won't be. I believe it also came with an adapter to go from 3.5mm to the smaller one too. Overall, it's a fine component, just wish it wasn't needed to really be able to use the chat functions properly.

Found this in the discount section and it works just fine. Game Stop wanted about 15 more than Best Buy.

As expected, this is a very high-quality product. It is a shame that headphone support isn't built into the controller like on the PS4, but at least with this product you get volume controls and mic mute right there on the controller. It works really well and provides excellent sound quality. Recommended!

I have Turtle Beach XP510 headphones and the connection wasn't right for the connection so I had to buy this.

This is a great way to use your old high end headset from your XBOX 360 over to the XBOX-ONE. You have to follow the instructions to update your controller firmware. And make sure you hard reboot the xbox one after the update or you will get an echo.

I bought my xbone day one so I still had one of the controllers without the traditional headphone jack. So when I purchased a headset I needed this to use it. Needless to say it worked out well. The headset didn't come with a volume control, but this does so a great purchase for me.

My son is 16 and loves his xbox1. He had all of the NBA2k's and he said the 2K16 is the best so far.

Saved me so much money when switching over from the 360, I didnt have to spend 300 dollars more for another headset. It is awesome, only thing is the sound isnt as loud as on the 360 but not that noticable. Deffinately a,good investment

Works just fine. Only wished I waited to buy the newest controller with the adapter already installed.

My current controller did not have the 3.5 headphone jack, and I expected to have to buy a new controller to use nicer headset. I found this adapter while shopping in the store. It is a cheaper option, and it works well; no problems.
