Just what I needed for my old Xbox controller to use new turtke beaches with 3.5 jack

my son broke this connector to his headset, I was glad to be able to get him just this part instead of having to spend the money to get a new headset, which was good for him, because he would have been just out of a headset LOL..

I purchased this adapter after spending the better part of a day researching online and also in the store looking for the best option for my XBox One in regards to a headphone oriented sound. Given the fact that I had moved the XBox into the bedroom, my wife was adamant that I have some way to listen to the game without keeping her awake. While I looked at all of the various headphone sets, ranging from the low cost single ear varieties, up to the wireless rechargeable bluetooth options, I found this adapter to be the most versatile. I say this because this adapter works with all of my controllers and allows me to use my own headphones - a set of Bose Noise cancelling headphones I already own. Also, this gives me the option of being able to quickly switch to other headphones that I own, without significant time or delay. Given the fact that I already owned very good headphones, anything more than this just doesn't make sense.

Despite the Best Buy person telling me this would not work with our head phones, it works great. Thanks, YouTube. Allowed my daughter to continue to use her Turtle Beach x12 head phones she used with her Xbox 360.

It's a nice item for the amount of money spent. It's definitely ok.

This item is great for what it is supposed to do, I love it because I can use any headset with it and if the headset has a chat feature your golden, it saved me money on having to buy a new pair so I use one headset for both my consoles.

What can I say? I quickly discovered that I needed this for the controller if I wanted to chat while gaming. It works great and is so handy to have right there on the controller. I'm using an older Turtle Beach headset, but it still does the trick with this adapter.

I recently decided on purchasing this instead of a headset to take advantage of my Apple Earpod headphones which I find to be far more comfortable. The add-on itself fits sturdily into the controller's slot and the connection is snug, with no feel of "loose-ness." The buttons click well with the right amount of give and I had no issues adjusting to it's use. I particularly appreciate the ability to adjust the "game sound vs chat" levels based on my needs - i.e. I can choose to use my headphones as a true "all-sounds" headset in case my dog is dozing nearby. My only complaint is in general the lack of support for USB headsets - I would have liked this add-on to also use PC USB headsets in addition to 2.5 mm-jack headsets from the Xbox 360 days.

I use it all the time to stay connected with all my friends and talk my smack lol

I'm glad I get to use my favorite headset with this adapter now. Makes my gaming even better!
