    This adapter works great and I was pleasantly surprised to find out it will play all the sounds from XBox One via the headphones if turned on via this adapter. So dual over the ear headphones works great with this adapter.

    I bought this as a gift for my fiance for xmas. A lot of the head phones were not compatible yet with the Xbox one and the ones that were cost way to much money. This allowed me to get a great pair of headphones that were compatible with the Xbox one just because of this connection.

    At first I thought this adapter was only for allowing you to use Xbox 360 headsets [Turtle Beach, Tritton, etc] with the Xbox One. Then I realized that you can use ANY headset/headphones with this adapter. I use my Beats by Dre headphones to play games and chat. Highly recommended..

    I purchased this so I could control the volume on my headphones without using XBOX's Console UI. It was a pain to control the volume by the XBOX user console. Now I just use my controller with my headphones plugged in to the controller at night.
