It does work well with my phone ear buds tho...

Must have even if you have a controller with a 3.5

You can controller your chat or game volume separately with it. I can mute my mic easily if I'm using a basic headset or ear buds. Must have for EVERY Xbox One gamer.

Unfortunately had to purchase.

Kind of a drag having to spend another $25. It does what it's made for though, and has nifty volume and mute controls on the adapter.

Decent adapter

However, it's not too bad for the price. The functionality is there, but it does have a cheap plastic feel. Whether it holds up over time or not is questionable.

It allows me to control the volume of the chat or game within the headset from the controller. No need to go into the xbox settings. Must have if you party chat.

Poor design but needed

The game verses chat volume is hard to balance. But unfortunately this adapter is the only option we have to use our old headsets.
