Unless you have a wireless headset you will need this to chat with your friends while gaming. The design is not good, when you are playing the wire bunches up and start to short out the cord, it needs a 90 degree elbow. The button to turn up the volume for gaming and chat can be tricky to use, I bought one of the new controllers that do not require one of these which is very nice.

I like the abililty to change the volumes of both game sound and chat sound. This seems to be louder than just plugging into the controller, on Xbox One S anyways. Recommended to buy.

Awesome product I have never had a problem when using the Xbox one headset adapter. You have the ability to raise and lower the volume of your headset. The adapter provides great feedback.

I can connect my existing turtle beach headphones to it and walk around without having the headphones connected to the xbox like on the xbox 360. Easy to setup and use and I can even listen to tv through this.

I have a wireless headset. I like that I don't need to use the wireless box with it. Everything is through the adapter and controller. Only con is that I hear a humming noise in my headset, but it is slight.

this product is pretty straight forward, volume up and down for the game, volume up and down for comms. easy to mute the annoying teenagers and their antics with my mom the previous night.

Product works as it should. If you have xbox 360 headsets (like me) you may have to use a youtube video or two to see how to get the correct connections to work, but the adapter works just fine.

You don't have to buy new head gear with the xbox one, you can use your old ones with this adapter. It is great. A quick install and update and you are good to go.

I just bough a new xbox slim and was having promblem with the sound coming out of my turtle beaches. But ones i plugged this in the problm was fixed works great and easy to use.

It's a great setup for chatting and recording. I already had some of the other equipment needed, so this just helped me complete what I needed to do to connect two headsets when recording.

Went with this because the headset that includes this part stopped working and we had to replace both the headset and this component. Having it separate lets us update the headset later.
