Yeah, this works just fine. I returned it though because the second headset I bought had an adapter come with it, so I didn't need it any longer. I don't like when companies force you to buy adapters and components unnecessarily (I have an original Xbox One). Just another way to milk the consumer. Only buy it if you need it, and consider the headset purchase carefully as some come with adapters for the first gen Xbox One console.

This little gadget is a lifesaver. Without this I would not hear the end of it from my son. Now that he has it he can speak with his friends and its much quieter in the house.

I bought the Xbox headset about a year ago and lost the adapter. I bought this for a replacement and it works with out any issues.

This is a great accessory. I like that it makes all the sound wireless so I can mute the tv and still hear the game through headphones

I bought this to save money from buying a brand new headset. In my opinion they shouldn't of changed something that worked. The product works great. I have no problems with its functionality.

If you have a first generation controller that doesn't have the aux port built in, this works well so you can still use your headset.

I use this to play co-op with my brother in law. Now I can use my headphones when he comes over. Easy to use and works great.

Works perfect, I can now use my logitech xbox 360 wireless headset with my xbox one will work with turtle beach as well or any other headset that plugs into the bottom of the xbox 360 remote

I didn't really need to purchase this. My buddy told me that the One didn't come with a headset. In any case it let's me connect my Nokia noise cancelling headphones which is pretty cool.

My son had a pricey headset that was still in good condition, but were for Xbox 360 so we purchased this item enabling him to use the headset for Xbox one. Works great!

Limits volume even if your headphones have volume control. Sometimes there is a connection problem. You must have if you want headphones and chat.

I bought a new controller, but I couldn't controller my volume because my headset doesn't have controls. So I purchased this headset adapter and love the control it gives me.

Much needed so I could use my Astro A40's. Word of caution! Do NOT throw away the box until you get the adapter cable from the back of the box! Or else it is pointless piece of plastic.

Since my son has the older controller I had to buy this. The old controllers don't have the 3.5mm jack on it. This was a much cheaper option and works just as well.

Must have for older headsets. Bought for a friend but I gave him my old headset so he needed one. So I'd obviously refer it to a friend

I bought this adapter to be able to use my old gen headphones with this current generation, and I am very happy with the purchase. It is very easy to connect and update.

Great product, allows the use of different types of headsets to be used with the XBOX1, comes with an adapter cable as well as a USB cable to update the controller as well.

This is definitely needed for headset owners that don't want to buy another headset. But the buttons are unnecessary being that there are control buttons on the actual headset itself.

Works great. Only make sure you really need this. My son said we need it for the head phones to work. When in fact they fit in the controller without this adapter.

Good product I like it small compact I like the fact that you can plug-in any headset to this piece which is pretty convenient no complaints once again great product
