I updated the controller and headed to BF4. The sound from the game came through great, but unfortunately couldn't hear my party talk. No matter how I adjusted the volume, I still couldn't. XBOX probably still needs to work out the bugs for this.

What a journey !! at first i bought this adapted... got home.. Found out after hours of google and trying.... that apple makes their Ear buds in a way that will NOT work with this.. you can hear the game.. and people chatting.. But the mic will not work.. went back and Bought the official MicroSoft Ear Phones for 79.99 from best buy.... Took them back the next day... they Sound like how much they cost... might be good for some people.. but really... just didn't have the sound that I wanted.. I work with tech for a living and I know what I'm a listening for... this wasn't it.. Also Microsoft had to release an update that fixed the audio clipping sounds it was making.. after that it works like you would think it works.. I end up buying a pair of sony Ear buds that were made for an Android phone and It worked PERFECT!! So The trick.. is if you plan on using ear buds.. and want the mic to work.. Stay way from the apple ones.. and ones that are "made" for apple

Perfect if your kid loses the one you need

So Best Buy employee said that he uses this one for his, so I bought it to have the adapter to connect with mine. A little more pricey than I hoped, but cheaper than $100+ set of Turtle Beaches sitting around not working.
