I needed this to use an older 360 headset.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It works as it is suppose to, I have a monitor with audio out, and I use it for gaming on my Xbox one at my computer desk, and with some adopters I have both sound from my computer, and my Xbox one in the same headset, and this adapter lets me use the mic part of it. Even with the newer controller, it wouldn't let me use the mic, so I got this this, problem fixed. Plus I prefer the controls over the lines ones.
