It's does exactly what it's supposed to. No complaints. Like that it had independent volume controls for game music and voice so I can turn down the repetitive game music and turn up the voice chat. Very handy when playing live games cross country with my son!

My last headset broke because of faulty cables but with the adapter it’s easy not to worry about messing any cables up it’s about the size of your palm careful not to lose it with the adapter you can control the volume of your chat and game

I had an awesome headset from turtle beach for the Xbox 360, and didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new one. So I'm happy to say I spent $20 on this adapter versus spending $100 plus on a new one. Genius!

Theres not much to say here. It does its job. The new controllers include a 3.5mm jack so get those and save yourself the hassle. If you already have a classic controller, this will let you use your headphones.

Was unable to use my old (favorite) headphones for gaming due to the fact they were incompatible with xbox one. With this adapter am now able to use them. Great!!

You might have to play with it to figure out all the buttons and what they do but this is great and more affordable option. If you already have a good pair a headset then buy this and don't buy a gaming headset

Good product, works perfect for it's intended purpose. Buttons have a nice, solid feel. indicator LED for mute toggle works well for quickly glancing down to see if your microphone is live or not. Works perfect for Turtle Beach X32's. Well worth the price.

I purchased a Triton headset for my Xbox 360 and didn't want to have to purchase another expensive headset when I upgraded to an Xbox One. This adapter allows me to plug the old headset directly into my controller and talk to people online. Great product

Excellent addition to the Xbox One experience. I bought this adapter for my son's new Xbox, and he absolutely loves the sound. He says it is like being right there in the action. He has recommended it to his school friends, and they think it is great, as well.

Recently got an Xbox 1s but, my headset i use with my 360 was only roughly a year old. Got the adapter and it works great. The supplied short 2.5->3.5 adapter cord also allows use with XB1 controllers that only have the 3.5 opening.

I bought this to use with my Xbox 360 Turtle beach headset because, like most people, it is more affordable than shelling out a ton of money for a next gen headset. It works just like it is suppose to. However, the way that it is suppose to work is not satisfactory to me. The audio that comes out sounds horrible! Also, you relinquish controls from your headset to this small device. Though much more convenient to use while in a game, over the in line controls on my TB headset, the sound processing(or lack thereof) is subpar. It's hard to recommend, knowing that you lose sound quality in the trade for control convenience and at the hand of saving money instead of buying a new headset which digital outputs straight from the console itself.

I have the new xbox controller with the 3.5mm jack but I still use the adapter with a pair of earphones. With it I don't have to deal with going into the menu to adjust the volume of the game.

oh well. just have to live with the fact that you need this for your xbox 1 controller on pretty much 90% of all head phones. but it works fine and you can control a few things on there which is pretty cool.

My husband wanted this to use the new headset he got for Christmas. It works great to allow the headset to work with the Xbox One controller. Wish Xbox controllers would have come standard with the regular headphone jacks, but what can you do.

When I inquired about this item on line I thought it would be just ok. I found out afterwards that this was the best investment for gaming for me. I can't believe how awesome this is. It is a must have for the gaming person

I used this to connect my XBox One to a "stereo seat" so I didn't have to unhook any other audio connections from it and my TV. It worked like a charm. I was able to get full stereo from the chair while audio still played from the TV as well.

I purchased this stereo adapter so I could use my turtle beach headset I had purchased earlier on for my Xbox 360 and it works exactly how it should. I can also use any old regular headphones to play in silence as not to wake the house haha.

MS realized that a lot of folks play with headphones which is why they included the 3.5mm jack on the 2.0 controllers. For those of us who have the older controllers, this is a required accessory. Has volume control and mute capabilities.

This adapter allows you to use your personal headphones to listen to game audio like turtle beachs. I have the skullcandy earphones with a built in mic and I am able to listen to game audio (as clear as xo sevens) and chat at the same time.

Well i purchased this and then a week later i found out they are coming out with new controllers with the jack built into them. Was a little bummed but this allowed me to use my Astro Headset
