One thing you will notice if you currently use regular headphones with a mic is that if you connect directly to the control, you get a sub menu when you click on the guide button which allows you to control voice and game volume but with this adapter, everything is on the adapter as you'll see when you mess around with it.

It's ok

The only way people could hear me, was if I had this adapter. It works great. I love how you can turn the volume of the game up & down. Also, you have the option to turn the chat volume up & down as well.

pretty good with some bit errors

The ability to chose how load either the game or the players volume is a great plus as well. The only small gripe is sometimes there is bit error problems and the sound comes through broken. Its a small complaint, but I could see this being a deciding factor for some.
