This peripheral wasn't easy to find at the time. Also it took about half an hour to go through the set up steps a couple times (it didn't work for me the first for some reason). But once I got it working, I was immediately glad that I was able to track one down. If you have a headset you love and an Xbox One, you gotta get one.

My hubby likes how he can connect with his other gamer friends all from the comforts of his very own ottoman. You are able to hook up headphones and listen to the laughter as your teammates hear your wife troll you in the background by yelling out "Guardian Down". It's truly fun for the whole family! :D

Had to buy this adapter to get my existing gaming headset working on Xbox One. Really should not have to spend $25 extra to get a headset to work on the controller. Microsoft should learn from Sony and build the 3.5mm jack into the controller. Other than that, works well.

Great for hooking up old headphones to the xbox one

Was working great up until Microsoft had to update my Xbox One with the 1409 Beta update and now I can't even chat through my headset now. I bought 2 of these just thinking the adapter was messed up. I have been having this problem since August and Microsoft has done NOTHING for me or many others having this problem.

It’s a love hate relationship with this thing. You have to play with the voice and game chat to get the settings just right. The problem is, there is no way to know what level you have each setting is at due to not being able to see any on screen information.

The adapter functions well and allows you to use most previous-gen headsets. Some of the controls on my Turtle Beach headset don't function properly on the Xbox One, but I don't think that's the adapter's fault.

It seems that when I use this item with a headset I constantly lose connection with it and get static. I have tried numerous configurations and headsets and the remote and keyboard are new.

The adapter works great and finally allows me to use my TB headset for chatting. Although it is probably priced higher than what it should be, it works for the function that it was meant to serve. It's nice to finally use a better headset for chatting than the one that comes with the Xbox. Overall a good product.

I was frustrated with my Xbix one when I found out my turtle beach X42 was not compatible with the controlers. Finally found this and grabed it up, since they where out of stock. I have not found any problem using the current headset cable with this interface. Just set the volume to max and adjust the adapter.

Purchased for my son, but don't understand the point. He's already got somewhere to plug his headset in, or use his wireless. Probably works great, but not necessary for our use.

You can finally use your Xbox360 or PS4 headsets with Xbox One using this cable. I wish microsoft charged less for it. Do note that the converter does require your controller to be updated to the latest firmware before working properly.

Nice adapter for my son’s Xbox. He likes the fact that he can control the chat audio and does not have to remove his hands from the controller . He says that this is an important feature especially with certain games.

Super simple to use and if you're like me you're going to need it for your turtle beaches unles you go for the new ones. I've had my x41 for 6 years now and they work great just the cable breaks from time to time and it's a $6 fix I've gone through 4 in 6 years playing every day.

Works great. Seems like there may be some issues with build quality based on other reviews, but I guess time will tell. I have had it for over a month now and it works as described. I think in general controllers tend to get abused quite a bit, but if you are gentle it should last.
