These headphones are simply a low-cost way to use headphones with your Xbox One. They're not the best material, but they work, and it keeps the noise from all of the games. If you're looking to quiet out the Xbox game sounds, this is a good fix for your kids to use.

This is a must have for anyone with an XBONE but this should have come free with the cost of the XBONE (especially the launch consoles). But such is life and now Microsoft makes even more money.

Not much to say about it, it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Do note that before this will work, you will need to update your controller. Just connect the controller via USB cable to your console and select the controller update in the settings. Microsoft conveniently includes the USB cable.

I had to replace my previous adapter due to one of the little black prongs snapping off. This is a solid built product, save for how easy it can be to break off one of those prongs. The ability to mute, and adjust party chat/game chat ratio was great.

I bought this device for my son so he could use XBOX 360 headset (2.5 mm jack). It works as expected. It was a little overkill what I needed and technically only a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter is needed which this comes with.

The first one of these died after 5 weeks of working. So far, this one is still working but its only been a month. You can't mute the game completely, it comes through the chat channel as well. You need them, but they aren't the best.

Does it's job. Sound quality is ok. It took a while to figure out how to balance the game volume with the chat volume. Occasionally the sound will completely cut out.

Product works as intended, and works with both my turtle beach headset and my Bose Soundtrue Ultra headphones. I was even able to speak through the speaker on my Bose headphones. The buttons to reduce the game volume and chat volume separately is also quite useful

Even though the Xbox One controllers have a headphone jack, this is still a must buy. It gives you the ability to control the chat and game audio, without having to comb through your settings every time you want to adjust either. I highly recommend this item!

It's is annoying when your playing. It would have been nice that Xbox would have made their system to use headsets without adapters. Unfortunately we have no choice if you want to use your existing headsets

I use sennheiser g4me one headset and astro mixamp. This adapter allows me to use the chat function. I can't believe that microsoft needed to sell an adapter that allowed for my chat to work but oh well. It works. 4/5

I bought one of these on first release of the XB1. Its built tougher than it looks, but its not toddler tough. My son got a hold of the cable and shorted it out by pulling on it. Lasted many years of abuse.

The adapter itself lowers the output volume on the headset. You have to actually connect the cable and small headphone jack adapter directly to the controller.

Bought this in order to chat during xbox live games. Good thing about this is that it isn't heavy, so it doesn't weigh down the controller. The bad thing is I had to drop $25 bucks to just use my existing headphones.

Xbox would have you believe that you have to have this to use headphones. This is not always the case. If your controller has a headphone jack on it (consoles made after a certain date come with these controllers) then you do not need this to adjust the volume. The volume control is available in the settings menu. But, if you want to be able to change the volume without going into settings everytime, then you want to purchase this. Feels a little flimsy when it's plugged in.

Originally bought to use my Turtle Beach Stealth 400's on Xbox. While the sound does work on the headset, the microphone does not. Works with any other standard headset however. Works as described.

My son uses this and it functions as its should but my son has broken 3 of these in the last year. They all break in the same spot where the cord meets the unit and you cannot replace just the cord

Finally can use your existing headsets with the Xbox ONE. Initially not too many issues, lack of surround sound support is an issue but will be resolved Im told. Only minor sound quality issues reported by friends.

This little gadget is awesome for those who don't want to purchase turtle beach headsets or use the more flimsy( and annoying fragile Xbox one headset. I turned my apple earbuds into a headset... Awesome sauce

If you play late and don't want to wake the family or communicate with your xbox live party it's an essential item. I Regret not picking up 2. It's make it so much easier to control sound and the mic having the buttons on the controller.
