Nice Upgrade!

First I wanted the rechargeable battery pack because I'm tired of replacing the batteries. Also I want to the 3.5 mm headphone jack without using the adapter. Everything works as expected. Glad I purchased this new version.

Necessary addition for family play

Other than the price tag, an extra controller (gaming console unit only comes with 1) is necessary for family play AND... No batteries. We will see how long the rechargeable unit lasts.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.controller and cable work fine. still upset about the 50 minute ordeal to trade in my old one under warranty and still ended up having to pay. i had to meet someone and couldn't wait any longer so just gave up. but that has nothing to do with the product itself. product is fine.

Rechargeable battery is the way to go!

I use this one all the time because I hate changing batteries. Plus it will save money in the long run vs the cost of disposable batteries.

Always get extended warranties on controllers!

Side note: Having the extended warranty is a must for any controller I get, no matter where I purchased it. The Microsoft warranty is only for 2-3 months since controller get more abuse than anything. Buttons die. Joysticks get stuck in the up position. For a few bucks my controllers are covered for 2 years, and I've had to take advantage of that many times over the years.
