I bought a 4K tv to go with my Xbox one x and the picture is Awesome. Not that many 4K games out yet but worth the upgrade from a Xbox one.

If you have a 4k tv than its worth it cause it upscaled games to 4k or a higher resolution. Plus it's a 4k BLU RAY player with HDR support.

The X is a great investment. My current games look much better, Halo 5 now looks and plays amazing. The UHD player is also a welcome bonus.

    Not going back to PS4

Ok so it may seem extreme but I will be upfront, there are few PS4 exclusive titles for ME, that make it worthwhile to keep using my PS4. I purchased this for 4k capabilities and the added bonus of crossplay with a few titles that I can play with friends. PS4 and PS4 pro do not offer true 4k. And definitely does not offer crossplay... (I am sure we are all aware of #BlameSony at this point) The graphics are spectacular. I have a 50" 4k tv with HDR and this look awesome. The OS is really smooth 99% of the time... at times the store bugs out but that is all. Chatting, gaming and overall navigation is smooth. PS4 has a similar problem (you'd think they would want their stores to be the smoothest experience) Download speeds are insane. So my internet plan is 100/100 but PS4, wired caps at 50mbps downloading... if lucky. Xbox 1X uses the full 100mpbs when wired. I get 95-130 mbps. It is amazing to download an 50-90Gb game in an hour or less. Literally one of the most amazing things I have seen. (This is for a digital download from the Microsoft store. Discs are always fast) Side note: Game Pass is the best thing if you do not have an Xbox library. It gives you access to hundreds of games for just $10/month. I was skeptical before I box the Xbox, but coming in with no library, it really helps you while you are building your library.

Worth the Upgrade from Original Xbox One

I bought this to upgrade from my Xbox One and it was definitely worth it. I do have a few games that are Xbox One X Enhanced and they are noticeably different in the graphics and performance. Some say it might be to early to adopt, but assuming from this point on, the big titles release in 4K, the rest will follow. Well worth the purchase and upgrade.

    Excellent Console but…

1st of all let me start off by saying that this console has excellent game graphics faster everything and easy to swap my gears one s edition to the one x. My gripe is not with what the console could do. It is what it wasn’t doing. I purchased and picked up on launch day and got stuck with a lemon like every microsoft launch console I have purchased in the past this is no different, hooked it up to my 75’ sony 4k tv and a samsung soundbar model: HW-M550/ZA. My primary problem was with my soundbar. I either play a game (CoD WWll) for a couple of hrs at a time and when I switch to tv (Spectrum) I had no sound or I’ll have tv sound and when I switch to a game I had no sound. All in which I had to do a hard reboot to temporarily fix. I called Microsoft xbox support in which I explained to a not so tech savvy rep. That I changed HDMI’s Rebooted the brand new system one too many times and all of my changes were transferred from my old console to the new in which I had no problems what so ever with my Gears edition one s. She then puts me on hold a couple of times and then blatantly admits to me over the phone that this is an on going problem they have been trying to correct with their launch consoles and tells me that she’s going to open up a repair ticket for me to send my 5day old console in for a repair or a refurbished model. I then replied to her “In what world does she think we live in in which people spend 500.00 of their hard earned money for an item for it to turn up to be defective that we would decide for a repair or refurbished item”?!! She then told me to take it back to where I purchased and replace said item when she very well knew they weren’t anymore readily available to swap out. I have always owned an xbox since the very 1st to this one and have been an xbox live member for 14yrs. to get this type of treatment from them. Best buy did the right thing and refunded all of my money without a hassle but to no avail, there weren’t any other consoles to swap with so I’ll have to wait till the new year. Again, console gaming and streaming performance was awesome but microsoft has a lot of tweaking to do before I repurchase another console. Never buy a console from microsoft because they’ll try to push you a refurbished model and this console costs too much money for anyone to settle for that kind of treatment. will I repurchase another…YES I will but will not jump to buy a new system from microsoft anytime soon. Customer service is key when purchasing anything expensive, especially if you’re the one selling and stand by your product 100%. Will always purchase from BestBuy and will most likely purchase another One X in the future. The console has promise and potential, Just not as a new purchase, wait for all the kinks to get ironed out. I will never make a big purchase directly from microsoft. They have let me down one too many times. I know that buying new tech you run the risk of getting a defective model but every console I have purchased at launch so far (360, Original XOne, One S, and now the One X), I have been stuck with a lemon and had to return for another. If I can only be so lucky when I play PowerBall LoL. By all means I donot want to deter anyone from buying this console because it’s a nice system but buyer be aware! It’s all over the internet about the One X kinks/problems.

$500 is a tall order for a lot of people, especially for what is considered an incremental upgrade. The short of it is this - if you don’t have a 4K tv, save your money. If you have a 4K tv, and already have a PlayStation 4 Pro, I strongly suggest you save your money. Really, only the hardcore and tech geeks should really be the ones considering this. The analysis Digital Foundry has done on games comparisons between the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro, and the results have been both a mixed bag, and very close. A little disappointing, considering the X has a considerable advantage over the Pro, on paper. Keep in mind, this does not take into consideration of xboxes ecosystem. It’s hard to recommend this given its price and the fact the average person won’t really notice any difference.

I have been a commited gamer for as along as I can remember. This console is fantastic! very well built, more quiet than the Xbox Slim and significantly more powerful. My only issue with it was that it was a one TB. I thought it was a 2TB so I cant have as many games on the console as id like. Other than this, I love it and highly recommend it.
