We're sorry to hear that your new Xbox One X isn't quite living up to expectations. To play DVDs or Blu-rays, you'll first need to install the Blu-ray Player App. For information on how to do this, go here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/apps/dvd-blu-ray-setup
While online games require an Internet connection, you may be happy to know that many games may be played offline. An Internet connection is typically only required for downloads and online features.

Always loved them even with the issues I had with the 360. Graphics are crystal clear, no lag whatsoever through the menus. beautiful console as well.

It is a lot faster, and I have it paired with a 4 TB External HD that I bought at the same time. With this setup, game downloads are really fast. I also bought a 4K tv during Black Friday, and the graphics are a lot better with this setup. The only complaint/question I have is whether anyone else has kind of a grinding noise coming from their Xbox One X whenever it is on? I have noticed it since day one, and I am just curious if it is normal, or I need to take mine back?

We're glad to hear that you're enjoying your new Xbox One X for the most part. Getting an external hard drive for extra storage space is an excellent suggestion, too.
In answer to your question, Xbox One X should not make a grinding noise during operation. In fact, it's normally very quiet. If you're experiencing excess noise, we recommend that you first make sure it's placed in a well-ventilated spot and that its vents are unobstructed. For tips on how to keep your Xbox One X ventilated, go here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/ventilation
If that still doesn't work, and you're within the return period, then we suggest exchanging it for a new one.

One X is a great alternative for 4K gaming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don’t know why I’m reviewing now of all times, but had this awesome console since 2018 Holiday and it has done me wonders and I think if you can’t catch the newest gen consoles buying a One X is the next best (and affordable) option. I got my hands on a series X this past summer and honestly 4K is 4K, but series X still trumps this console but the One X holds its ground!

Was thrilled to see this bundle! A game I had been looking forward to, paired with the console I’ve wanted! The color is great, much more appealing than the pictures. My only complaint and the reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the fact after following it and reading about it for awhile, I was under the impression the bundle came with an extra controller. (It doesn’t for anyone wondering.) I’ve seen lots of people saying the same thing after purchasing, so I’m unsure how so many of us came under this false pretense. Overall, an absolutely marvelous machine and I look forward to many years and many adventures on it.

But i told myself when I buy my humongous tv I’m buying the new Xbox. I finally bought an 85” tv and I decided to add on the Xbox. It didn’t hurt that they were also on sale. This is so superior to the 360 (obviously) and I love that it’s backwards compatible and a lot sleeker than the 360. It’s expensive :/ but worth it.

Much more quite, smaller design, and better graphic. I opted for this one as they would be games that I would play. I got this when it was 399 so it was a good deal.

This console is such a major upgrade from my previous Xbox One plus everything that I got from buying this bundle was totally worth it as not just a Battlefield fan and player but as a gamer

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This console paired with a 4K HDR TV set is amazing. i love it but when it comes to 4K UHD Blu-Rays there are some titles that can't play it just freezes for some reason that i do not know. the titles I have tried are Blade Runner 2049 and Transformers 5. my TV does not support Dolby Vision but it does support HDR10. I don't know if thats the problem. All games work amazingly though it's just some 4K Blu Rays that seem to have some trouble with the system which sucks because I watch more movies than i play video games

Regarding the issue you mention, the Xbox One X fully complies with Ultra HD Blu-ray requirements; however, we are aware that a limited number of 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray movie discs manufactured earlier in 2016 may not play properly. This issue has since been corrected, but if you are experiencing a problem playing a specific 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray movie disc, you can contact the customer service department of the title’s studio for support. Note that your console does not require repair or updates to resolve this particular disc issue. If you need further assistance with this, please call us at 1-800-4-MY-XBOX (U.S. and Canada) or contact Xbox support.
