On any HDTV you can see the graphics improved and the system runs smoother than the original. Not to mention the power brick is finally gone. Just a straight cord from the wall to the system.

Great product, although the whirring sound was a little concerning at first, but appears to be pretty normal after reading other reviews. Only giving it 4 stars because the free month of XBox Live had to be used before 12/31/19 and I bought it in April 2020, year of the 'Rona. Also don't like that I have to download games before I can play them. I thought that was the point of getting the disc reader version.

Regarding why games need to be installed on the hard drive before playing, most modern games are too large and complex to play well from the optical drive. We know it can take a little time up front, but the payoff is a better overall play experience.
