Can't Wait!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Most powerful console built so far. 4K is the future of gaming and I can't wait to power this bad boy up. I own a PS4 pro but it will sit and collect dust once this releases.

Excellent Upgrade
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This console is definitely the console if you're willing to cash in $500 for the console. This project Scorpio has some good looking aesthetics, but any X will do.

Bonus: If it's broken, it costs you more.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my son's 18th birthday (late Nov). Picked this up from the store, took home, plugged in and all looked good. Turned off, came back an hour later to set up, and it wouldn't turn on. After 20 minutes of troubleshooting, spent 40 minutes on the phone with Microsoft support and the result is that (because the Scorpio is sold out) I have to: - go buy a box and bubble wrap to ship this to their repair facility (couldn't send me a shipping box?) - drive this to a FedEx facility for shipping (couldn't arrange pickup?) - wait until the unit is repaired, which very likely won't be until after my son's birthday in 2 weeks (MS don't keep stock for replacements?) So I paid as much as everyone else that received one that works, but I don't get to use it for weeks, I have to pay in $$ and time for the privilege of getting it repaired, and I get *nothing* in return for this. As a counterpoint - when I bought a subwoofer several months ago, it stopped working first day out of the box. The company shipped a repair part and had someone come to my house to install it. I didn't have to ask, and it was fixed within 48 hours of the call. This tells me that MS has to repair so many Xbox units that they cannot afford to spend a penny above the absolute minimum. So I'm very dissatisfied with this purchase, before even having the chance to use it for one minute. I lined out all of my points above to the support person at MS, and their response was, "I'm sorry, I agree this is not a good situation, and Microsoft should do better by you." Thanks, buddy, you nailed it. I'll have several weeks to enjoy those meaningful words as compensation for making the mistake of paying for Microsoft's hardware.

Beginning of the end
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over-promising and under-delivering this generation for MS. I remember the good ol days of the 360 with all its great exclusives. It wasn't even the most powerful console on the market either. Now they flipped and followed the PS3's business model...more power and pray the developers come back. Losing Scalebound, Crackdown pushed back, Cuphead consistently pushed back, Halo being subpar...all they have now is Forza and PlayerUnknown but they can't hold a console by themselves. All of this is just Microsoft themselves. Now they want people to pay for a $500 upgrade just so you can see a couple of first party titles in higher resolution and then some multiplatform titles with GBs and GBs of patches. Seems like a pointless upgrade at this point in time. Same with Sony. Why not give us the next Xbox and PlayStation instead of more pointlessness. Just keep your Xbox S or PS4 and wait.

Giant leap for gamers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had always been a PlayStation guy and ridiculed the original Xbox One (deservedly so) when it was released. But I also pay attention to the gaming industry and things started changing for the better when Phil Spencer took charge of the Xbox division in 2014. I later picked up an Xbox One S to pair with my PS4 and have been impressed with the commitment Xbox has towards its users, something I've never really felt with PlayStation. I've found the Xbox ecosystem is superior to what PlayStation offers, which is why I've traded in my PS4 towards the new Xbox One X. Even at $500, it's a bargain considering what you'd have to pay to build a comparable PC setup. If you want the best, cutting edge technology then this is the console for you. If you are a casual gamer, then the S is a great choice at half the price.

Compatibility
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All my games, controllers, steering wheels, etc. Works on the New Xbox One X. Plus every game I have from the original Xbox to the XB 360 to Xbox One get a graphical upgrade (looks Better) on the New Xbox One X system. It's Like (Xbox One X) a high-end gaming PC for $500 bucks. That's half the cost normally for a entry level high-end gaming PC.

Best console on the market
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely the best console on the market, so get your pre-order in now before they're all sold out. This, unlike the Playstation 4 Pro, is a true 4k machine and will have all the best looking games. Can't wait to play this on my Samsung KS8000!

No reason for this system.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.People place to much importance, and hype on graphics, and power these days. Remember back when games use to be all about fun? I'm 42 and I certainly do. I've been gaming since Atari 2600 and building gaming rigs for a long time, so I've pretty much experienced everything I can or want to, for gaming. Even though I'm not even hardcore. The Xbox One S is the better option, because people fail to realize what they're paying 500$ for. 1. Games that are only slightly upgraded graphically, the majority of them "old" games which either play(ed) fine, or played better on PS4 anyway. 2. The frames per second won't increase that drastically and if so, they won't push true 4K. And the average person doesn't care, nor can they see a huge difference anyway. I'm not average and I can BARELY see a difference, So there ya go. 3. Dropping 500$ on a system with more power is just foolish. The Xbox One S does a fine job of upscaling, if you own a 4K TV, and also has the cheapest UHD player on the market. As I say, if you're into this kind of thing. 4. Xbox One Fat, and S play the same games, they all turn out the same in the end, and they have the same fun factor as any higher end gaming platform. 5. Even though this console has sold out I predict a LOT of buyers remorse when the "fans" don't get what they expected, or this small system fails/bricks because of to much power. Remember 360 upon release? Also when they see very few "Exclusive" titles just for the X, they will really be disappointed. And lastly I'll admit I was curious and honestly thought about a pre order, but then thought whoa, wait. This is just another marketing ploy. And usual, to get people's hard earned cash, or ones that have disposable income. Also I'm not a fan "man" but you have to admit the future of games belongs to Sony, as do sales. With games like UC4, Uncharted Legacy, others on the way, Spiderman, God Of War, Days Gone, Death Stranding, The Last Of Us 2, Detroit Become Human and many others on the way. The PS4 is still the best place to play. Why? Because they have the content, and still some of the most amazing playing/looking and fun games on the market today. And I can play them on the Slim. You don't "need" a pro to enjoy them. Though it's nice. So remember, it's not how much power you have, it's what you use it for. And the Xbox One X is just using this to try and increase sales in a battle they lost a long time ago. The Xbox One (that I own is used as a multimedia device), nothing more nothing less. And I'm sure many people agree with me. All the 3rd party titles will be on all platforms. Are you really going to drop 500$ plus tax to get slightly better performance? Or maybe you won't get it. Also more power to you if you want to use all of that power to play OLD games. Or enhance them. Just makes no sense to me. Just like all of these pre-reviews. Even mine. lol But to each their own. If you have it, waste it. I'm saving mine for "games".
