For only $50 more than the 500GB version you get twice the capacity for a great price.

Why you should get the Series S 1TB

Great little system, blew me away with 4K

I was amazed with how compact, sleek, and smoothly this refreshed console runs. The black looks great in my entertainment center without sticking out like a sore thumb (unlike the white version). Honestly it upscales nicely, sitting a good 8-10 feet from my 70" it looks crisp and plays responsive. I was hesitant on the Xbox Series X or S but at the end of the day, I'm glad I saved the cash as I havent owned a physical disc game in over 10 years.
