But now there was either a fortnite update or a win 10 update that cause it to not respond in fortnite. It seems to work fine still within windows but that does me no good since I bought this to play fortnite on the PC. Maybe there will be a fix soon? otherwise its now just sitting on my desk! Ugh!

Those software issues can be resolved through windows updates and Microsoft downloads. I would go Bluetooth connection if possible saves you money and time. If not this device will work.
