Idk, if you don't have bluetooth I guess I recommend it i noticed the controllers behave weird regardless of the adapter or if they're on bluetooth. But if you have an older pc and want wireless xbox one or series X/S controllers that doesn't have bluetooth or if you buy the new official xbox headset your going to need this. I don't know if it's due to frequency of the controllers or if you have a wireless headphones that aren't Xbox then you risk losing controller connection. I also don't know if it's got something to do with battery life. But on PC Xbox controllers lose connection regardless of bluetooth or the adapter. I never lose connection with ps4/5 controllers over pc bluetooth. I have mostly bad experiences with Microsoft products. None of them work the way they're supposed to. For instance I bought the new headset to use on Xbox pc and it worked for every game except gears 5. Here's another one ea pass on game pass pc doesn't fully work. It's account driven I tested it with different accounts on different systems with the same result. Poor customer service. I was going to leave 2 stars but after talking about all of that and they force you to buy this for the headphones to work on PC. FYI the PS5 headphones work really nicely and they come with the adapter.

I downloaded some games and realized I'm no good with a keyboard. Thankfully I found this gem and was able to connect my Xbox controller to my PC.

Bought this for my husband so that he could use his XBox controller or his headphones when he plays games on the PC (i.e., when I have taken over the XBox!). So far, it has worked as advertised.

Excellent for using your favorite controller on PC and be able to use the 3.5mm audio jack on the controller for audio.

Works as intended. Great for playing wirelessly on PC without delays (bluetooth has some delay)

Gave this as a gift to a gamer in my life and he wholly approves of this! Simple to install and sync with controller.

It works I guess, I mean no issues whatsoever, prefer the wireless look with my pc setup so I’m digging it.

After thing that was not explained clearly was that you need to restart your computer to finish installing the device but the older model never needed that.

I have purchased 3 of these to use on my child PC. I used it to connect headsets and controllers. I had to purchase insurance because the last two didn’t last long.

Perfect solution for pairing my son's xbox headphones with his PC. Much cheaper than buying another pair just for the PC

It’s does what it’s suppose to do. Have never had issues with connections from it. However I do not agree with the price of it and how cheap the build quality is.

Not much to say about this, lets you use the xbox controller wirelessly and works great.. no issues whatsoever.. love it
