First of all, you do not need this if you have one of the new "S" controllers that microsoft is either selling or shipping with the x1 S. Secondly, once I establish a connection it is stable as far as I have experienced. However, I have to keep re-syncing my controller every time I turn it on, and more often than not, I cannot get it to work on the first try.

Won't come through without windows 10, the ps4 controller doesn't need windows 10 for its adapter.

My Xbox One broke and I had a controller from it still. I bought this to use it on my Windows gaming machine. It works ok and does the job. The controller itself is flimsy junk. If I where to do it again I would buy the PS4 controller adapter and use the PS4 controller on the PC instead. It is a much better controller in terms of build quality.

I heard a pop noise in my room. When i went to check the adapter was melted.

What a great piece of hardware. Once plugged into the PC, the XBOX controller is discovered simultaneously. Unfortunately, this item should be included with such controller. Therefore, in order to get your wireless-controller setup one must purchase this additional but missing item.

I tried to use this on my laptop for games, and my computer recognized that it was plugged in, but it never did anything. I called Microsoft and apparently a drive was missing, which I discovered was a common problem. I had trouble getting the drive to install correctly, so I just returned it.

The adapter did not work with older windows versions

not to impressed. very hard to sinc. if useing your xbox controller unplug xbox or it will turn xbox on while you try to sinc it. dont work with all games. looking for another option. typical Microsoft....

The adapter only works with some games and in others, it may leave out features like force feedback. Also, if your PC is not Windows 10, you may have a lot of trouble finding drivers for it.

wish it connected everytime, the software drivers are inadequate at best, i shouldnt have to unplug it, uninstall the drivers, and plug it back in everytime i want to connect a controller.

So I got this to use my Xbox One controller with my PC and I had to get Microsoft support on the phone just to make it operate with the controller. Then once it was operational the controller would never center you are constantly fighting drift while trying to play a game. Bought steelseries 3 controller and this thing doesn't even work as a Bluetooth receiver so I end up having to buy separate Bluetooth receiver as well. It's basically useless.

This device has a limited range for streaming games for XBox 1.

Windows 7 recognizes this device as a receiver instead of a controller, thus games do not "see" it. Maybe Windows 10 is different, but in 7 this product while it does function does not do so in the way you need it to. Tried several different drivers...

I couldn't sync my controller! I am very unhappy that Microsoft was unhelpful when I called in! Plus has anyone ever asked why there holding music sounds like someone was blowing into the mic while recording it? Recommend this? Yeah no!
