Finally found a XBOX Series X at $499. Wanted a back up controller and like so many others opted for this new red one. It took awhile for me to get use to the new center button layout. I found that the lower center button will take a screen shot by just barely touching it (even if by accident during game play). But, the large center X Box button seems to require more pressure than my older Xbox controllers to direct you to the "turn off console, turn off controller or restart console" screen. I found this true for the black controller which came with my new system, so it apparently is not unique to the Pulse Red controller.

Hello all writing this review because I'm peeved! The controller is fine it works well, color is what I wanted but you need to know something EXTREMELY CRUCIAL WHEN THINKING OF THIS CONTROLLER: IF YOU HAVE THE OLD XBOX ONE PLAY AND CHARGE KIT IT ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS CONTROLLER! They changed the usb port from a micro usb to a usb-c port so your old play and charge kit won't charge at all! You can still use the battery but charging it wont happen! What you need to do is buy this: Microsoft - Controller for Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One + USB-C® Cable (Latest Model) - Black Model:1V8-00001 SKU:6436824 This is taken directly from Best Buy's website if you buy this one you will hve no problems! Now I am stuck trying to find a new xbox series x/s play and charge kit and they are sold out everywhere! It is so stupid that microsoft doesn't put in a female ended micro usb to male usb-c adaptor in case you don't know this. Also it should be on the box bigger that it uses usb-c and not micro usb chrging anymore! And also beware when trying to call best buy when you call a store you are shoved into a national call center and if youbare trying to get a specific store the person on the end of the phone will blatantly lie and say that you are talking to the store directly when you are not, And if you ask them to hold something for you and ask for their name they wil! give you their name but then when you go to the store to pick it up that person mysteriously doesn't work there and they have never heard of them before! Take a look at the supplied photo the yellow circled bit makes it seem like they added a port not removed one and replaced it with something else, also circled is the date 2020, this controller was purchased in 2021! All around both parties need to do better both Microsoft AND Best Buy! Service from both has gone to the toilet! BE WARNED AND SAVE YOURSELF THE AGGRAVATION!
