We get the protection in case it breaks, but so far it has been going strong and no issues. I think Xbox is trying to make better controllers as they make new ones. This one is wireless, which is nice.

I say this to help paint out the picture that my controller needed a replacement. This controller feels more solid and has some newer options that my previous controller did not.

I needed another controller so I purchased the new style. The new style fits my hands better and seem to be more responsive. The different color helps with whose controller it is to use.
