My son wanted this controller for a reason. I do not know what is the difference from the black controller that came with the console. He said he will be able to use it for playing games on a pc which is what he is using it for. He connects it via Bluetooth or by cable. I purchased this back in Nov 2020. A month ago, my son said one of he buttons was not working. He looked it up in YouTube and I end up opening the controller. One of the plastic part on the button was broken therefore not making enough contact. I fixed it with using an adhesive. Now it’s back to normal. I wish Microsoft would make the plastic that they use stronger to withstand everyday use.

Say waht you will about the continued scarcity of the console, and the somewhat lack of innovation, but this controller feels good. Yes, it lacks the PS5s adaptive trigger and built in mic. But what it lacks it makes up in reliable comfort. The textures grips and the sticks offer enough friction to not slip in use. The new directional pad design is a nice addition. With charge packs, it lasks longer than the PS5 controllers. While it make not have the bells and whistles, Microsoft was thinking of lengthy playtime
